I am interested in some rough estimates from Frieghter pilots who run NPC trades as to how much ISK they can rake in say per week/month etc
Thx

Well I have all but given up npc trade, find it very hard to fill up my bustard especially now that the lots seem much smaller than previously.
There again don't take this as gospel I may be missing something obvious. Regards

Yup, freighter routes used to be instant ISK. Now that the market is more dynamic it's a much longer-term game to make ISK on the NPC market.

How about making ISK on the player market instead of the NPC market?

About 9 months ago it was easy for me to make 100M isk per night on afk runs in high sec. empire (about 2 hours each way). Today most of the safe afk trade runs have dropped to piddly payouts of only 8 to 12M isk each way for 2-3 hours of flying.
In the last few months the high security runs are all heavily competed for and you are lucky to get 1 per week if you are the first to grab the goods after they reset to the low price.
More often than not I do one low sec empire run to another low sec empire spot per week with my freighter alt. Requires escort at the pickup and drop off point to chase away the now rampant empire gate gankers that are trying to catch freighters for ransom. These npc trade runs typically net me about 200M isk per week.
So 9 months ago I could make 700M isk per week with almost no effort on NPC trades that ran afk while I was doing chores. Today, with significant scouting and escorts of low sec trade runs, I can only make about 250M isk per week. I am certain that as time continues to pass and even more people get freighters to compete for the few remaining trade runs this will drop even more. It is almost to the point where my 2nd account needs to be mining again instead of running an afk freighter.

p.s. I have only lost 1 freighter so far when I refused to pay the 600M isk ransom in a 0.4 gate camp of 4 tanked BS. I countered 200M isk and the pirates responded by asking for 1B isk . They even sent me eve mail afterwards saying "I hope we crushed you economically so you are out of the game". I just switched to one of my other 3 freighters waiting in the wings. Stupid pirates could have been 200M isk richer instead they got a big boom and just slowed me down by 2-3 weeks of afk game time isk collection.
Lesson Learned for me - if you don't have an escort - DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING Below 0.5! |

Well, sounds like that was broken, if you could make such money so easily. I'm glad they changed it.
