I understand that a tax is usually mandatory, but I recently started my own corporation (I'm all about small business) and set my tax rate to 10%. However, as I've been playing the last few days, and mining or getting NPC bounties, the corp account hasn't risen at all. Is the tax rate just informing potential members that that's how much the corp will ask for (not automatically take)? Do I, perhaps, just not quite understand the UI for Corp management? Do I, as majority shareholder, not get taxed? Is taxing broken currently? ----- I think I was supposed to turn right at Endorallen... |

Bounties are taxed. Mission rewards are taxed. Market sales are taxed.
If your corp members don't do a whole lot of those then you won't see the corp wallet increase all that much. --------------

Unfortunately, corp tax only applies to NPC bounties and basic mission rewards over (iirc) 35k. That's all, and you can't extend it.

Originally by: Taaketa Frist Market sales are taxed.
Corporate taxes do not apply to market or escrow transactions of any sort.

Ah...I haven't been doing a lot of mission running in the last few days.
So the tax doesn't apply to profits on anything but bounties and missions (not mining, not loot, etc), and only those over 35K...well, that would have been a nice thing to include in the manual somewhere...or on the UI itself. But, now that I know, I'll keep it in mind. Thanks! ----- I think I was supposed to turn right at Endorallen... |

I don't mind the tax on mission rewards and bounties, but if ccp would make tax count for sales as well i would quit any corp that would enforce it.
if that would happen nobody would sell items for their own personal profit anymore cuz every profit would go to the corp (10% tax on a BS sale??? I think not!!!) Banner will be updated shortly |
