Whats with the Obelisk market?
I dont understand how with the rising price of mins people are still undercutting each other with just insane prices.
There truly are some crazy people playing this game

Demand go down, price go down.
Supply go up, price go down.
One or the other of these will explain completely, why the prices of Obelisk (or absolutely anything else in the game) are dropping. ________________________________________________

I would suggest the OP means that some people are selling obelisks at a loss.
Ie even if they didnt buy the minerals they could have sold the minerals they used to build the ship for more than they are charging for the built ship.
Add into that the price of the bpc/o's.
But I dont know what the build cost is like on them, so maybe its not that bad?

The only reasons I can think that people would be selling freighters at a loss are:
-Liquidating assets quickly. If they need cash now, selling assets like a freighter at a loss is a good way to get it. If they think getting capital sooner rather than later will earn them more money than the loss on the freighter, then it is a good play.
-Cutting losses. They just want out. If a lot of people have decided that the freighter market is hopeless, then your going to see a lot of freighters getting dumped for as much as they think they can get.
-Backdated mineral prices. Freighters don't get built overnight. If you calculate the freighter cost based on mineral prices at the start of production, and mineral prices go up, then you can sell that freighter for less than today's mineral prices and still make a profit. Of course, if they had just left the minerals to sit in a hanger somewhere, they would have made more proift.
-Oppertunity cost is only a cost if there is an oppertunity. This depends on how quickly you can unload huge volumes of minerals. Having a pile of minerals priced at market value but selling at a rate less than the rate at which you harvest it is a problem. It becomes worth it to unload large ammounts of the minerals at below market value. I don't think this one is the case, as mineral prices would be in free-fall if it was.
