Is there a way to ensure to get important missions within the corp you are working for? Far too often my agents send me to another corp for the important missions, and always to corps I have no need for standing with... I was wondering if there was a general rule to this, and a way to see this before you start the 16 missions.

don't think soo to my experience with the caldari navy in the start it was mostly some other trade corps but with time it became more for caldari navy or other caldari state owned corps,, i doubt you can do only importants missions for stricly one corp sorry,, you just need to contiue your work for the corp you are comitted too and it will come |

I suspect it has something to do with agent locations. I work for many different corps. I just want to make sure, that when I do 16 missions for one corp, then I also get the important mission in that corp, instead of being send elsewhere.
Simply asking there is a rule to this, so I prevent wasting time...

I believe I heard there use to be a pattern but that at one point it got changed to the closest faction storyline agent to where you did your last mission. This is all hearsay.
It has held true for me until my last one and it still might be true, turns out there are at least 2 storyline agents in that system and I did my 16th mission one system away. When I did all of them in that system before I had one in the same station as where my normal agent was and always got that storyline agent for Fed Navy.
When I moved one system over to pick up another mission I got one for Roden Shipyards so the station he was in was probably just closer to the gate between those systems.
Of course this is if it is true about getting the closest agent.

The only way I found so far to ensure getting a Storyline for the same corp you run missions for is having a Storyline agent in the same STATION that you run the trigger mission from. Same solar system is not good enough, neither is same corp agent being the nearest one. Other than same station, it seems to not follow any pattern. The same agent sends me to this storyline on one day and to that on another day. Inconsistency is CCPs most consistent trait. --------- ZOMG my sig was concordokkened! The overall point being, I think, that since storyline missions are supposed to be about faction standing, there *shouldn't* be any way of making sure you get XYZ corp to offer them to you. ________________________________________________

who cares where the story line mission agent is! it gives you a faction increase so prove your not a user and work for your faction not corp.

Duh, ppl that want fast corp standing increase care. As important storyline mission give corp as well as faction standing increase it obviously does matter. In a RP sense it should be rather the norm to get those missions from 'your' corp, then random strangers you have no connection to what-so-ever. -------------------------------------- Agent & Mission-Info: http://www.eveinfo.com Evewide Market-Info: http://eve-central.com/ |

Well I ran missions in a system that had 2 stations from the same corp and i always got referred to the other station to pick up my important storyline missions there. If it's not guaranteed to get the mission at least the chance is alot higher. -------------------------------------- Agent & Mission-Info: http://www.eveinfo.com Evewide Market-Info: http://eve-central.com/ |

Well maybe those people should concentrate on getting corp standing the way they're SUPPOSED to do it; by running regular missions for said corp. ________________________________________________

Yeah, grind the hard way instead of the smart way?
imo it's agent location.
In murethand theres Fed customs agents, level 2,3 and 4.
If you get an important mission its always in Melmaniel next door where the storyline agent happens to work for Fed customs.
Sweet deal
