I dont care what sound it is but I dont like that it no longer lets you know when a cycle is done. Usually I will be mining and reading the forums or something and every time the cycle finishes I know to dump into an Orca. But now its just pshh pshhh pshhh pshhh pshhh pshhh pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh all day forever. Ferox #1 |

The sound should be continuous, as it's an industrial-scale rock-ripping operation, not a guy with a pick-axe, but for those who need an audio cue, perhaps a power-up / power-down sound at the end of each cycle would be of use...
My container is NOT imploding! It's just a bit upset that it only sees cheap crap. |

I never heard any mining sounds at all before this expo...maybe cause i had my world volume set to 0, but now i hear them regardless of world volume |

i do agree with you, that it should be continuous except for the start of a cycle/new cycle |

also, i should probably add that when i get sensor jammed by guristas, the beams from the strip miners stop showing up and the sounds go away, even though the strip miners are still running
when i re-target the rocks, it doesn't show the miners being active on the rocks
these things were all the same before the expansion, but should still get fixed up, I think |

I actually enjoy the new sound effects. Of course, I'm the sort of person who always admired the visuals and liked to observe my surroundings (like I should since there are gankers all around New Eden). Ever since Crucible, I now have even better eye candy to look at rather than stare at my modules cycling every 3 minutes.
To me, I love the new sound effects as it makes the strip miners sound like they are actually working. |

I am a musician (not professional...yet!) and I listen to music a lot of the time...after hearing the strip miner sounds, I turned on world sound effects...I guess I am always rather in tune with the audio around me, and the station sounds are very good, honestly, it keeps me alert, it sounds like there are people around me, haha. |

The sounds are fine, just a bit loud to my taste. But not overly so. |

Never had this problem with strip miners, but every second time with salvagers. Thanks for the hint that turnig audio off/on can solve this problem. |

Hi. i thnk it was an nice thougt. You hear the blocks of ice or ore fall into the cargo... Very nice if you hear it for 10 minutes but if you hear it for hours and hours of mining and can't adjust the sound you are going mad...!!!! You only can turn the whole sound of oder redcue it or zoom out very far. Everything of this has disadvantages. Please give us back more smooth mining sound and/or make it adjustable !!!
