It does not take many players to make Eve worthwhile. What is more important is to set goals and play Eve the way you want.
It has been over 1 year in planning and execution but Penumbra Squadron has built their first outpost at C-FP70 in Vale of the Silent. Your first reaction might be "whoopie, another outpost in 0.0", however there are a few points to consider. First, Penumbra is not populated by a large percentage of rich players, though many are multi-year Eve pilots. Second, Penumbra has at any one time only included 20-30 active pilots. Third, Penumbra sets goals grand yet achievable. And Finally, Penumbra performed this feat without direct support of any alliance.
The outpost is not the only major goal we have achieved. Penumbra has molded its pilots into a viable fighting force replete with dread, carrier, hulk and freighter pilots. We have fielded extensive POS platforms for both security and industrial use--T2 parts production. And Penumbra takes care of its pilots through a generous ship supply program.

P.S. Too bad ASCN built that Titan first! Time to rethink our next goal.

Well done, a milestone in your histories.
Seriously, it's a great achievment, don't let recent events overshadow it (unless of course ASCN use thier titan to blow your outpost up.. that would just be horrible)

As a small group of players ourselves, I know the ammount of effort and planning that goes into this kind of thing when you can't call on a few hundred people at any one time to help.

But although in the grand scheme of things it is "just another outpost." Any corp or alliance that is willing to put the effort required into buildng & maintaining one should havenothing but pride in their achievement. After all, for many corps the culmination of their greatness is deploying & maintaining a POS, so compared to that an Outpost is an awsome achievement.

The fact that it's not the first should not diminish the significance of the achievement, especially when done in a region still without much of this kind of infrastructure compared to others.

Each outpost is a mammoth task. Pure ISK cost is 34 billion ISK which is a sizeable sum for anyone.

Gratz! An outpost in no small task, the isk value may not be expensive these days but I believe the logistics is still pretty damn big.
Just to make it look better you don't congradulate yourself, announce something

Congrats mate, it is very good to see o.o geting so much populated. soon we will have big population boost in those areas. One thing tho, dont ever give statistical data on eve-0 about how rich u are and how many players active u have. some ppl might take advantage of that and attackif they deem a 30bil outpost is takable. Gl again and well done

Its nice to know the Old home system will see more and more traffic as c-f will always be in our hearts as our home and penum as worthy neighbours and friends.
