I'm new to the game. Playing less than a week. So someone correct me if there's a skill that does this later on. I haven't found one that does.
When I use a shield recharger, it stays active until my capacitor is drained, regardless if the shields completely charge up. If my shields are charged, where's the energy going? It's just draining my capacitor. I think my computer should be smarter than that. When my shields are fully charged, it should wait for maybe 10 seconds to make sure they're not getting drained (like I'm in battle) and if they're not, it should automatically shut off so my capacitor doesn't get drained to zero.
I haven't gotten far enough in the game to see other things besides shields do this, but I'm betting it's not just shields that drain the capacitor when it's really not being used.

It's left like that for people that want to and CAN leave it on full time.
Note: For terminologies sake, it's a shield booster, shield rechargers are passive mods that increase your shields narutal recharge.

Well, he has a point... why not keep it turned on but only use the capacitator power when the shield is not 100%? ----------------- Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It's not a thing to be waited for - it is a thing to be achieved. |

actually this game is ment to be played by yourself.
once your shield is full, just turn the module off yourself.
if you would have a function like that, there would be all kind of "self activating" modules once your ship gets targetted etc.

It's like that so you can screw up. Leaving your booster on and losing a fight because of it is an oversight, like mismanaging your drones or giving an enemy a zero transversal shot at you. Practice, practice, practice.

These are actions ment for machines... I want to play a tactic game, not a factory game.
It's like playing a game where you must turn on/of the heat in your livingroom to keep it at a certain degree.
What's next? Hitting the arrow keys really fast to get a higher acceleration? ----------------- Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It's not a thing to be waited for - it is a thing to be achieved. |
