I just want to say that this skill showing up in my list with a green check-mark is haunting me ...
Astronautic Engineering
It sits there ... staring at me and I feel like it's laughing at me going ... "haha you can't have me!!" and I shake my fist at it.
As I understand this is a book that was given away for something a long while ago and isn't obtainable anymore. I wonder how much this little one would cost or if there will actually be of any use in the future.

The Astronautic Engineering skillbook was seeded on the market in error for a day or two many years ago.
I bought it and plugged it in hoping it would be of use. I guess it fixed the haunting green dot issue at least.
I have seen people pay around 10-15b for the books since as they are collectables.

That makes sense, and damn, that's a pricey penny for one. So next question ... why is this skill book listed on the character sheet if it's not a skill you can actually obtain? lol.
I thought it was given out for some kind of event. Thanks for the correction  Had to be before my time then.

Just wait till CCP reimplement the skill and the forums get drowned by the rage of the aforementioned people that paid 10-15b for the book. |

Well I would understand the rage tbh, heh. I think that goes the same for any game where you have an item that had collectors value to where it didn't have that anymore. I had "somewhat" that feeling when Blizzard did it for something (which now I can't for the life of me remember what it was now, heh),
But in any case, it would be interesting to see that skill actually active and have a use other than "bragging rights" lol (which is all that skill says).

usually when I see the skill it is around 20b mark, my highest ive seen has been 23b while a low of 18b.
I didn't know this book was a ccp screw up, figured it was something that's hard to find
It is the only skill I don't have and all skills are currently at level 4 skilling to level 5 while that one also sits at 0 haunting me

I sold mine for 2 bil just to get it off the books as the market fluctuations were annoying me and I was too lazy to fly it to Jita , too bad you missed out.

Once upon a time there was a guy. Guy had terrible OCD and was obsessed with injecting and training every skill as it became available. Guy spent many months and billions of isk making sure that his skill board was sexy, with every available single skill trained to at least 3, even if it would never, ever be used.
Then one day, guy's world was violently shaken, uprooted from the wholesome dirt of reason and cast into darkness. He had found a skill that could not only not be trained to level 3, it couldn't even be injected 
As days, weeks and months passed, guy's sanity slowly faded as the image of that un-acquire-able skill seared holes into his previously sexy brain. Unable to sleep at night, unable to eat or even properly engage in marital relations, he eventually ended his life on the Biomass roller coaster.
Forever we shall remember guy, and henceforth uphold a pledge to not become as OCD as he, lest his sacrifice be in vain.
He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.
He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared.
