ok im going to be doing Vengeance lvl 4 with my raven, still new to tanking but going to have a wingman in a Megathron. ive done this in my ferox with the same wingman so i know the basic ropes of the mission but we lacked DPS for that ending BS.
but now that i have my raven im wondering should i stick with cruise even for the big BS at the end? or should i clear everthing but the named and then warp out and switch to torpedos?

I solo Angel Vengence in a raven uing Arby Cruises. Just get in close. Also It will help if you have 2 heavy drones in your bay.

With a wingman doing dps, you should utterly destroy this guy with torps. But give it a go with cruise missiles first just to see.
When I first started doing lvl 4's I was didn't have many points in my missile skills yet. I had to equip an afterburner to get within 3km of him so his defender missiles wouldn't blow up my torps. And even then, with 4 mediums and 1 heavy drone, it would take me nearly 2 full reloads to finally kill him. Today I can just sit in one spot and let him orbit me at 50km and kill him, and that is with only 508k sp in missiles. I'm able to fit 3 bcu's and have my rapid fire skill up to 3, and torps 3. Obviously, tons of room to improve here, but at least I'm not warping out to switch gear anymore.

I've said it in other threads but for a missile ship it is really really helpfull to carry other damage types to handle that boss.
In the serpentis Vengeance he has monster kinetic resists such that my cerberus just couldn't kill him with high missiles skills, damage mods and using kinetic missiles.
Switch to other types and check which does teh most - use that and he should fall pretty fast - 2 mins is normal for me now.

this one is Guristas i think but im going to carry some Thermal cruise as a side to my primary kinetics.

Have an AB. if you want to use cruises you can, but use 3 Bcu for good damage. If your damage sucks, use torps instead. If fitting the ab messes up your tank too bad, have your mate fit the ab and a webber, and web the bs. if its Rachen we are talking about, you only need kinetic damage.

If I understand correctly, the Guristas Vengeance boss is among the most powerful tankers of the game (at least, if eveinfo.com is correct). A full rack of kinetic torps is your best bet.

on the last named BS i usually go 3 torps 3 cruise (in a Raven) with a target painter and drone range extention module if he decides to move out of my drone range and can solo him down in less than 3 minutes in that setup.

I generally move in with Rage torps and take aggro, then let a wingman in a fast cruiser light him up with a webber and 3 target painters:)

Soloing in the Raven, but changing setup when everything out there is dead, except Rachen. Warp to the next station, fit and AB, and go for him. Use kinetic damage (missile/drones) and NOS him to keep caps. 120 wrath used to kill him at 500m and just taking the loot in the can.

rofl, if you think he's bad you clearly have never done cosmos . There's some bad muthas there. If you have a second guy it shouldnt matter, it's a cakewalk mission anyways, just extremely poorly done... tons of crappy little cruisers and bs's all within like 20km of your spawn for all the rooms until the end where it drops you in a clusterfudge 110km away from everything with a 2.5mil guy who duct taped a mordus mammoth to his raven because he needed that extra tank.... pretty rediculous.

And ffs dont listen to all these people saying fit an ab.... just dont be a tard and shoot the second you warp in... you can move close enough to see in his windows without aggroing him.

personally, the megathron should just switch to neutrons a web, and after burner and damage for the final bs and youll kill it fine

It takes some time to kill him. Fit drone link aug drones will help you a bit and there isnt much to nos during that mission. I also use sensor booster to pop the sentries in last stage (targeting skills  )

Solo, I've killed the final npc with these setups so far:
Raven:
6x siege
Scorpion:
4x Siege, 2x 425 AC's
2x large, 2x medium, 1x light drones
AB, Web
(yes, completed twice in a scorp solo)
Typhoon:
4x siege
5x large Drones
Tempest:
6x 1200mm
2x Cruise
The final NPC isn't that tough to break *if* you are doing the correct damage type.If you haven't the skills to output enough damage to kill him at range, then definately get in close with an AB and use higher damage weapons. Don't let up, and don't give up if it seems like the tank will never break. The chance to repair is random, so you may get a break in the regen if you're persistant.
