Couldnt find the 6month old post with really nice little tricks that help a lot
would you care to share your best ones ? i'll bookmark the thread that time :p
my two favorites are(the only ones i remember) :
1) when afk travelling in empire for long distances, put the MWD on the F1 shortcut, and put a heavy object on the F1 key. then go afk. You'll cut your travel time by (up to) 50%
2) when probing moons (an activity i do a lot), some moons are way too small. When you try to align with them you select them and ship doesnt align. To shoot them is really annoying (and can cost a lot of probes in wrong shoots). in that case, hit ctrl+tab, it removes the UI, click right in the middle of the moon, you'll align flawlessly. ctrl+tab again, and your UI is back, shoot and the probe is right in the center ------

Awesome, thanks :)
Mine:
1) Best way to reduce transversal on npc BS'es is to stick your ship right up their engines. Distance isn't always the best way.

My favorite trick is to post something and then quickly edit it at least 3 times, since my fingers often are faster than my brain. :)

Edited by: Sakura Nihil on 01/10/2006 11:21:25 When you have to stop on a dime in an interceptor, about 20km or so from the target slam on the brakes while disabling MWD, and with some luck you should land right on top of the location.
That, and wearing shades during an interceptor fight increases your chances of winning due to what we call the "Top Gun" factor.

If you can set up just one jump clone, you can set up as many for the skills you want. Simply make one in the station you can. Then fly to the station you want it in. jump to the clone from that station and fly back to the original to set up another clone. rinse and repeat. takes awhile, and if it's only in 0.0 that you can set up the clone it might be risky. but having 5 jump clones set up around the galaxy would be useful.

One I found very usefull from the old thread:
To lood, open can and drag onto cargo hold symbol in your ui. Cargo transfers less laggy than via drag to opened cargo hold window.
