Hello,
Our corporation left its old bad habits and is itching to get into 0.0. Thing is, we don't really know where to start.
I thought about just breaking in to some quiet system and simply claiming it, but in the meantime, I didn't want to step on anyone's toes... I'm not sure if squatting some alliance-controlled system is considered 'respectable' 0.0 etiquitte.
I'm a diplomatic creature. All I want is a place for ratting, mining, and away from drama and -- well -- heaps of people in general. Someplace quiet and carefree. Not sure if that exists, really. But someplace that to call home.
I'm concerned about the logistics of getting stuff out there, station access, ammunition and the like... So I'm asking for guidance, and if you have it in you, a helping hand goes a long way for both involved parties.
Any ideas to educate a humble neophyte? Feel free to convo me in-game... I'm out scouting potential territory -- as this is my alt.
Thanks for reading... Fly safe. |

Im sorry but it seems what your looking for is high sec empire, with 0.0 benfits. no alliance in the right mind will take you on unless your prepared to follow orders, that includes fighting attackers and attacking yourself. --------------------------

Didn't say we couldn't fight. But our numbers are few. |

OP:
You needn't "negotiate" access to freespace.
Do individual research on the various regions with faction stations, make sure your clone is upgraded, put a MWD on your interceptor, and make some insta jumps to get through the various entrances to the frontier.
The frontier exists for our community of capsuleers to establish themselves. There is opportunity, for certain, but there is some risk as well. If you are too risk-averse to risk a clone or two, 0.0 might not be for you.
Pure Blind, Syndicate, and to a lesser degree Curse and Great Wildlands have some good entrances from empire.
Certainly, going it alone is not prefereble as there is safety in numbers, but it can be done.
Don't allow territorialists to scare you away from the frontier. Space belongs to us all...

Having spent time in both Curse and Pure Blind, I can make these recommendations.
1) The southwest area of 0.0 is undergoing some upheavals right now with the attempt by Blood of Innocents and Interstellar Alcohol Conconglomerate to extinguish Curse Coalition. They have pushed Curse Coalition out for the moment. Don't look to move in that direction.
2) Pure Blind and the surrounding area is less PvP oriented and more mining/trading oriented. That's not to say you will never run into pirates and predatory neutrals - you will. You'll have a better chance at establishing yourself up there. But, understand this: anyone wishing to move into 0.0 should be ready to lose ships and pods. It's part of existance in 0.0. However, ratting for 500,000 to 1.2 mil isk bounties and rare min's has its compensations.
Good luck.

syndicate is nice, i can confirm that
there are lots of unclaimed systems and constellations in 0.0 even if the player made "alliance map" shows a whole region being claimed. dont expect to be allowed to setup in a real low sec system with lots of belts and high end ore or a complex (these are highly contested and super valuable), but at first a dead-end system with like 12-15 belts to rat and mine some decent ore should be fine for a small corp to try out 0.0.
have a look at the map for 2-3 days and check traffic in certain areas of a possible system to setup. make yourself familiar with the chokepoints too. an npc station somewhere close is a bonus too. then i'd take a frig and scout it out and if it looks good, just setup there. if you ask for permission chances are people would rather say "no" just because it means less possible trouble without new neighbors.
if you want to setup a pos i recommend a medium one. a small one can only fit like 4 guns a hangar and a ship array which is like nothing and a large one is the horror to maintain for a small corp. be aware of the fuel logistics necessary unless you can jump it in with carriers or are good at doing convoys.

Regions that are dominated by NPC stations will be the areas in your best interest. Stain isn't claimed by anyone but I hear those systems are rather poor in the mining area. What I mean by poor is you won't be finding crokite, arkenor or the like there.
Since BooB is busy with ASCN Fountain is an exellent region. Great ore abounds there, its one of the richest regions in the game both from a mining as well as a ratting point of view.
Set autopilot for YZ-LQL and have a look .

There are more important tasks to complete in Stain. Not the least of which is bringing about the realization of the dreams of Utopia.
Come to Stain. Service to Sansha's Nation is rewarded handsomely.
