I propose, my wonderfully diverse EVE-Online community members, a little poll! A poll in which we should ALL participate willingly, gladly and with one end in mind. So without further adieu, I present the "Poll on TankCEO's Whining Rant"

E. I dont really care what he does, because its not gonna make a blind bit of difference, he just needs to learn that there shouldnt be no risk kills for hours on end when he wants.

Tried a little pirating today and he's right, almost impossible without camping spawnpoints.
3 hours, 1 rupture and 2 frigates.

A definate D. for me.
Tank has been a part of this community long enough to know that folks are getting really tired of him. He pushes pirating out to the limits of acceptable gaming by CCP standards, most likely has received multiple warnings and has made it a bit tougher for the remainder of the pirate crew to do anything "illegal" in game. Tank reminds of a spoiled little boy who doesn't play well with others, and then whines and cries when his mommy comes along and takes his toys away for bashing his playmates in the head with 'em!
The role playing aspect of this game is what makes it alot of fun to play, it's very addictive on all counts. But Tank has ALWAYS pushed things way too far as a pirate. Some folks like the "legal" pirating roleplaying; a perfect example of which is Techell Corporation. Ensuring Miner II tech stays firmly within their arena, setting insufferably high prices for them and then wonders why corporation after corporation sign up on the war list.
Tank, you've become a one legged man at a arse kicking contest and you're losing miserably. You're a whining spoil sport and it's getting really old. Why don't you leave the game and quit making things worse for the folks who do pirate within the confines of the game. |

D. Carebear.
I have yet to read post by Tank CEO that is pointing to something good for gaming community.
He got stucked on old ideas (before he got banned for exploiting) and he doesn't seem to get that those glory days are over and were due to exploits (not possible anymore to reproduce).
And his whining has become just too much.
If he really cared for piracy he would pod himself as he is the person who destroyed it in the first place.

If Space invaders can camp a gate legitimately and make cash from it, Im sure Biomass can too, so this crap that they have to camp the jump-in-points as its the only way to do it, is bull****. Its just the easiest way to do it.

u can make more money attacking ppl who r mining in belts than u can make on farming npc's. the problem is that most "pirates" r too lazy!

A, but i'm tempted to say B.
But then again, we all whine from time to time, 'carebears' or the non-pvp mob as i like to call them whine when they lose a ship, he's whining about a major change to the game.The fact that he's a pirate does not mean he hasn't got the right to an opinion.
Hopefully PvP will be more balanced in future, untill that time i'm not paying another cent.

As oposed to posting a veiled flame post directed towards tank (who it is well known I dont get on with)why not try reading the replies to his post and I think you will have your poll. The vas majority of ppl who have a basic understanding of piracy in EVE will in fact agree with Tank. Simply put Pirating is the hardest profession in the game. Due to months and months of ppl whining to make it harder and harder. Now when sombody actually speaks out w@nkers like you Fanatique pipe up and flame.

What Im annoyed at is the fact he whines about not getting low risk kills all day long with maximum profit (When the gate to gate comes out). Like I said in a post above if you had care to read.
Space Invaders camp gates and are very succesful in doing so, respect to em, they actually work for their money, unlike Tank who seems to think that whining on a board will allow him to keep his low risk kills all day long.
If one corp can do it he sure as hell can..

I cant speak for tank but the vast majority of pirates I know (not just my corp but many others) have to use alts as legit characters wether it be ship building or the blueprint trade.

I never met him in game and hope not to..
He has a good point killing of piracy will is like amputating an arm of EVE itself.
BUT (there is always a BUT) he could state his intensions in other ways like explaining that piracy is a part of this game and that it wouldnt have the same taste without it.
(Sorry TankCEO makining absolutions is not the way diplomacy works in this world)

I see that the D. poll vote is gaining ground steadily (to which I'll show no surprise and snicker a bit as well). Most of you have posted open and well voiced views, to which I am appreciative. Others of you have once again shown yourselves to the inbred forum trolls we knew you were.

Hippey -- Czech Absinthe tastes more like radioactive cat urine than a good absinthe. Good absinthe DOES NOT taste bad, and the French invented it (God bless the French for that one).

TankCEO has some reasonable points (issues too) but what he fails to realize is that most of what is happening to him, he's brought on himself. Do I pity TankCEO? Merde alors, NO! He's was banned for pushing the limits of pirating to exploit levels and whined incesantly on the IRC channels until his ban was made temporary (which was a mistake CCP shouldn't have made if the rumors about this fiasco are true). Perhaps he should realize that "having his cake and eating it to" isn't going to happen. Adaptation is needed here, and not the metamorphosis into a pirate carebear.
