Just going to point out here that the only reason given for CONCORDS uber powers is ancient technology (aliens lol), nah just jove stuff.
So I would assume the sleepers could do such things as well, and doesn't that weapon effect resemble the carolines star explosion?
Thing did 25k damage instapopping a paladins through it's armor.

There's a topic discussing the specifics of these new Drifters on the forum somewhere. As best we can tell, these Drifter battleships are actually the Talocan, but that's not 100% confirmed yet. Having said that, we do know that their faction is called Vigilant Tyrannos and these battleships, along with their augmented commanders, are among the most powerful vessels that Vigilant Tyrannos commands.
As for the weapon, it's a very similar weapon system to the weapon used by the Jovian fleet in the Battle of Vak'Atioth. It is undoubtedly a power beyond anything capsuleers can wield, especially on like-sized vessels.
EDIT: It also reminds me a LOT of the famous Terran Superweapon that Amarr brought to bare against the Minmatar. |

Will do; https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=386656&p=34
This topic is also relevant, though. It's a good way to highlight this new footage for people who weren't delving into a lore-centric topic otherwise :)

If a bunch of us get together, and we aim our weapons at one of these all at the same time, do you think maybe???
Treason never prospers. What is the reason?
Why, if it prospers, none dare call it "treason."

Test polarized weapons against these drifter battleships. oh ****, weapons that deal icnreased damage but lower your resists, weapons that do damage to a ship based inversely on resists. Im sure people have brought it up before but damn CCP, talk about intuitive unintuitiveness for the sake of a little challenge |

Thing did 25k damage instapopping a paladins through it's armor. For the record, Concord's power is lore wise the Second Best Equipment of the Empires + a little Jove mixed in... Second best to ensure that the Empires can beat Concord if they ever tried to seize their territory. Front line Empire forces are supposed to be able to match, or outmatch Concord's abilities. Jove, on the other hand, is supposed to be of a level beyond anything. In theory the 3 Jove Titans are supposed to be able to match all the Empires combined (not something they need to worry about... YAY Blood Enemies.
Sleepers, well they are former Jove, so they should have power that at least comes close to matching that. That said, they generally just want to be left alone.
Personally my bet with Caroline's Star is someone woke up the Jove, or at least a faction of them. In addition to the Drifter BS's, which are now suspected as Talocan or Jove (Vigilant Tyrannos forces), there's the sleeper activity outside of WH's, on SiSi there is WH's now showing the active war between Sleepers and Sansha (It's always been assumed they were in conflict, as one lives in WH's and the other uses them to attack)..
Personally, I hope they are the Talocan, and not Jove. I like keeping the Jove mysterious and all powerful, so just introduce one of the other powerful races. I mean the Jove left known space, not shocking that other would.. and that if poked, might not respond kindly. Also, if this ties back to The Other, the sleeper AI born in their VR that wants control, makes sense that parties other than just the sleepers would consider that a threat and get involved.. After all, The Other messed with the Amarr Leader as she was being Cloned, might be responsible for the return of the Sansha, and who know what other factions it has influence in.
Looks like a lot of conflicts are emerging..
The Sansha Sleeper war is the one I like the most atm though.. I mean we know a lot of NPC groups don't like eachother. Would be nice to see some conflicts with them. More than just a standings hit, I mean raids. Border Skirmishes in the respective areas of Null, etc. |

Upgraded clone soldiers, Mordu rats, Burner missions, Sleepers and Talocan/Jove rats in K-space and they just announced other NPCs are having their AI upgraded...they are indeed increasing the game's difficulty, maybe its time for more T3 and perhaps T4 ships? |

Good news on the T3's :p lol Hell one due next patch lol.
But no, we don't need better ships, just better enemies so we actually will need tactics.. I've run lvl4's in a Paladin. Which is so say, I've snoozed though lvl4's. Most missions I didn't even need to pay attention to the targets I pick.. Only a few where neuting could be an issue.
It'll be nice to have a challenge. Without falling back to my current way, running lvl4's in AF's. |

No it wasn't... The weapon you're describing is the ancient terra weapon found by Empress Sarum which she used against the Minmatar fleet. |
