Takes forever and a day to load. Previously it took less than two seconds and now it's taking anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds. Numerous people in my corp also have this problem.
It's apparently worse if you open it during warp.
Please fix. |

Agree, the starmap takes much longer to load than before Crucible. |

It's much, much faster for me. Used to be 30+ seconds on a good day; now only about 5 or so. Massive improvement.
Though apparently it was even faster than that before the patch?
Wonder what made it so slow on my end, then. |

F10 Map needs to be looked at, as I've said quite a few times. The entire usability needs to be overhauled.
Theoretically the map should be cached, and specific information should be loaded as they are needed. Instead of mousing OVER a star, they should be SELECTABLE. Clicking outside the star (as long as you're not currently dragging OF COURSE) will DESELECT the star. SIMPLE.
Rolling over a star can still highlight the routes, but it won't pull up any extra information. This will help speed things considerably, because you'll only access data when you need it, and that data will be very small compared to what appears to be loading right now.
To make the F10 map really usable, put it into a window to be resized as needed, with a toolbar with some quick buttons - "MY LOCATION" which centers the map on your current system, toggle flatten button - buttons similar to current MODERN map programs. A brief tour of Google Maps might help the designer find many ways to make the F10 map a bit more useful....
Solar System map would be fixed by changing the rotation around the currently selected celestial, rather than the solar system's star. |

We found one issue, which affects players in alliances - as the map is requesting informations about jump-bridges from the server, which takes much too long. An improvement for this is in preparation.
For the case that the map is also extremely slow without being in an alliance: Please give us more informations on when this is happening. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance
