I've decided to make some wallpaper of the "Rarer" Capital ships that occasionally Ply the spacelanes. All the images are 1280x1024 and Made in Photoshop to look (Somewhat) like the Offical ones by CCP.

Not a bad job.Bluring the images makes minmatar ships apear less ugly.

To a certain degree, yes. However it's what I get for asking people for Screenshots who deliver sub-standard, Jaggy edged and badly compressed Pictures.

Evey Picture is a screenshot taken from EvE, as you can imagine they're mainly from the "Chaos" server. They've been touched up, colour, Brightness and a slight Blur effect to get rid of jagged lines and the slight "Pixelation" of the Galaxy Background we know occasionally happens with EvE.
Overall I like the Pictures, some like the Naglfar I think are alittle too "Heavy" on the blur effects but anything less and they start to look alil' uglyer. I think My personal fav is either the "Hel" or the "Leviathan" the "Charon" is growing on me thou!

A firendly bump for our aspiring artist.
I personaly am using the Thanatos one being that is is my training goal and the picture just looks cool with all the fighters around it.

i like the naglfar picture allot, infact im using it right now
only downside on it is that they dont appear to have any guns fitted.

Hmm..they are pretty nice for such simple effects.

Yet another Inter-corp bumpage, the Leviathan is my bg right now, and it looks sexy. I have to admit that CId knows what he is doing, or puts on a good enough show to make all us here in the corp think he does

Im loving these backgrounds, Ive just put the Hel up. As pointed out by someone else no Amarr love  I might be a Caldari flying Gallente but I love some of the Amarr stuff. Good job and keep it up, Im gonna bookmark this thread so I dont lose it

I personally couldn't find Any "Decent" Amarr Pictures, Since it's a request .... I'll look into it .. just for you two

Wow, I like them very much! Good composition, nice blur (I'd always chose blur over ugly unfiltered edges), beautiful colors...well done mate! 
Only thing I miss here is some gold, as I love the Amarr juggernauts ever since my academy time in the imperial navy.
Would be awesome if you could fine some nice Amarr screenies and turn them into wallpapers.

I really like the one of the vista-skined Abadon, and the one of the new Megathron (both are not up here, but on our corps forums ) is sooo sexy... But after thinking long and hard, Im still too in love with the Thanatos BG.
I may Swap it out for the MegaT eventualy...

I'd like to know when people are gonna get a clue - No ships are being reskinned. They are being totally rebuilt. High poly models make the textures/normals maps for the new low poly models. Compare the scorpion vista/dragon - you'll see. *roll eyes*

Okay, My fault. I'm not really into all the tech-stuff, I know afew things and I admit I am alittle out of the loop on the new expantion.. In all honesty I really don't care much about whats happening untill things have been finalised so that I can see what's definately happening. I guess they're calling them re-skins because thats essentially what they are. Same ship, just different look to them. I haven't really noticed all that much differeance in the models .. just the way they look. I assume your right anyhow because we all know that as great as EvE looks, it's outdated by pretty much everything.

wallpapers look nice,
but I can't help to think they might look better when you drop the shadow parts that divide the 2 colours.
maybe drop a small line in the middel to make up for it.
btw really like the gallante titan wallpaper.

Thank you, I have responded to your EvE-mail and submitted my wallpapers. I have a drop shadow on the edges of the dividing lines, maybe need to make it alittle darker.

My eyes water whenever I look at these. The blur is troublesome. Otherwise, gorgeous shots, I've been looking for wallpapers like this. But unfortunately, I won't be using them, the blur is too intense.

The blur effect you're using seems to work nicely for taking the rough edges off the ships and giving them a much more polished look.
PS: Do the retribution and crusader please?

They are great. Many of the posted backgrounds here are nice but overdone with effects. I like your approach. The Nyx and the caldari Titan are my favorites.
The Abaddon one is bad tho. You messed up the proportions there i think. It's stretched.

I do realise that the blur is too intense sometimes however different pictures react differently to the process. Toning down the blur would leave (Generally) Jagged un-AA edges and then people would be complaining about that. I'll try to tone it down alittle.
