I am having problems finding the response in game, so I thought I would ask here.
I know that the turret misses feature was active on sisi, but I does not seem to be active on TQ. I was wondering if anyone else could see this feature.
I know that i initially had problems viewing trails because my shader level was set too low, so I am curious if it is something similar with the turret effect. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks GD |

It's working for me. The first volley always shows as being a hit though, whether it is or not. From what I read in the dev blog that's due to current limitations in the technology. I hope you manage to get it working for yourself, it's really cool. |

turret miss effects are very much alive. either you are flying a mobile church or any other unmissable object or your gfx card/settings are fubar. |

I imagine the turret missing effect would be more obvious depending on the type of weapon your using. I use lasers so I see my shots miss all the time... Maybe I should work more on my gunnery skills |

Please let us know if you continue to have problems. As noted, initial shots tend to have unerring visual accuracy but after that they should work. We want the feature as solid as possible before it gets extended further, so this would be really helpful.
Turret misses shouldn't require any special settings be active. As long as you're seeing turret effects, the misses should just happen. On the other hand, given a sufficiently large code base, "spooky action at a distance" is not uncommon so please let me know if you spot any correlation between some esoteric combination of settings and the failure of turret misses.
I was flying a waddling space potato last night and shots were still missing, albeit only occasionally. Take heart, mobile church pilots! |

Yea, turret effects are on, i just ran a DED 1/10 in a slicer, lots of little ships shooting at me, no damage on the ship but the animations has all hits on me. I can detail more in a bug request if thats whats best |

That would be ideal, thanks. It might just be related to a few flavours of NPC, or something equally odd. |

Can you confirm via the log that the ships are indeed missing? Perhaps your passive tank is more effective than your attackers.
If anyone ever looks at you and says, "Hold my beer, watch this,"-á you're probably going to want to pay attention. |

Just a thought, if you can't program the first shot to miss if it does, maybe make the first shot invisible? It's never really noticed anyway. |
