Hello CCP and EVE members,
While mining with a friend this afternoon I had that [quite precise] idea that I wished to share on this forum. I hope you'll share your feedbacks on it, keep cool !
ORE CAPITAL MINING CARRIER
Features :
- Ore ship --> that implies she requires Ore skills and gives Ore bonuses and has Ore attributes.
- Capital ship --> Slow mining boat, can cynojump.
- Mining --> Considering the size, she'd have great ore bonuses (yeld, modules...)
- Carrier --> My fav part of the idea, "Fighter-sized" Mining Drones, Cynojump ability, basic logistic abilities.
- She shall not replace or make Orcas/Exhumers/Rorquals useless !
Ship Requirements :
- Mining Barge Level V
- Astrogeology Level V
- Advanced Spaceship Command V
- Capital Ships Level II
- Jump Drive Operation Level I
- Capital Industrial Ships Level I
- Ore Capital Carrier
Mining Triage Requirements :
- Science Level V
- Mining Level V
- Tactical Mining Reconfiguration Level I
Capital Mining Drones Requirements :
- Leadership Level V
- Drones Level V
- Drone Interfacing Level V
- Capital Mining Drones Level V

Could be interesting, even if this seems to need a new hull + a hull for the mining mini-me.
But what about the tank capabilities, except the shield tank I guess ?

I'm not sure about tanking abilities cause I don't consider the ship like a combat tool but I imagine she should have enough survivability to sustain a small/medium gang assault ..
Didn't thought about the weaponry yet, I imagine that she could carry some fighters too, what do you think ? |

Not to shoot your idea down but maybe let rorqual and or orca use stripe miners. |
