Never play eve when your tired... Well,I found this out the hard way. just got done testing my guns on some npc pirites and went back to hq to reprocess the junk. while i was reprocessing it i accidently reprocessed my med secure can which happened to have my 7 miner 2's in there, a decent cpu processor which i cant remember the name off hand and 2 expanded cargohold's. when i noticed that disappear from my hanger that woke me the hell up.... now i know u guys are going to say you stupid ass, or haha. but that seriously annoys me to see 7 miner 2's gone just like that. i thought for awhile that if u did something like that, that the stuff in the can would pop out in the hanger like when u repackage a ship. but i guess im wrong on that matter... i now have another encounter that makes me loose my mood to play eve.. now ppl. greave with me on this matter. i actually petitoned it for the hell of it, but i have never got anything replaced from ccp so i kinda dought they will help in this matter. but it was worth a try..

Unfortunately, many people (myself included) use the very thing that cost your your miners to recycle large quantities of items. It'd be a fair toss up between losing the functionality to reprocess large numbers of items over the accidental reprocessing of containers with valuables.
But take heart. Many, many people have recycled their ships. Again, myself included...but only a little one

Oh man, that sucks. I do feel your pain. What a loss. Hopefully you will recover not only your goods but your warm fuzzy for the game.
I do notice some blatant inconsistancies with "are you sure"s and not. I just try to not do anything without at least 20 hours of good REM sleep. :)

I trashed a reaper whos cargo hold contained 50 grade A slaves that were en-route to Amar space to be put on the market. Argghh those things cost me faction points and at least 6 hours of waiting till they became available to purchase...

That's pretty gruesome, Othnark.
Must have been terrible for your cleaner slaves to clean up the gore in your recycler.

Had buddies recycle cruisers full of rare stuff and similar though. Recycling miner 2s only give you just under what they are actually worth .

Yes, yes it was gruesome. But, it served as a valuable lesson to the other slaves. Now they know what their fate will be if they are ever insubordinate. They heard the cries and saw the remains of their bretheren. It was not pretty.
Imagine the sound a living being makes as he is churned through gears and mashed through pistons and the goopy, bloody, deep red pulp (occasionally interupted with bone fragments) that was the result.
Yes, that should be something they dont soon forget. The lost ISK shall be paid back threefold by increased productivity. -Othnark

Another thing not to do when you are tired is have a quick ' peek ' into 0.0 space when you are under a mil skill points and a very long way off PvP.
2 Player Pirates taught me a tough and very very quick lesson.

Here's a useful hint:
Don't put afterburners in the equivalent slot to a smartbomb.
I did, and the other night I activated my afterburners to dock more quickly. I forgot that my display was on my high slots, not my low slots. I was tired at the time you see, and wasn't paying attention.
Needless to say, the bomb went off and my ship got trashed by the sentry guns.
My apologies go out to all those who got caught in the blast.
To make matters worse, I was so angry at myself, I forgot to go back later and pick up my dropped loot.
Oh well, such is life.

Any CSM delegates reading this?
I have a simple sugestion for somthing to ask for, yes I know it is most certainly somthing that 100's of others have asked for, possibly even in this thread but I cant be bothered to read all the you suck, stupid idiot, serves you right posts that usually follows open posts like this one.
Originaly I can atribute the idea to MUD's I played a long time ago.
Put in a simple marking system, you have an item you do not wish to recycle, mark it, then alter the recycle window so that only non marked items show up.
This way there would be no chance you accidently recycled that Tempest battle ship intead of those 20 miner I's, I would guess the differance in reality would be a lot bigger than ingame.

Yes Fester, as soon as your name attaches itself to a post all the important people of the world including devs get emails and alerts. Rest assured, they are all reading avidly.

Dude you suck, shutup you stupid idiot, serves you right yada yada yada. You already have to click through several warnings/windows to either trash something or recycle it. If you still cant figure it out you deserve it. Hell It sucked losing 50 good slaves, but it was worth it. At least i got food with which to feed the others.
Let the Devs (who definately are reading this) fix other more important non-moronic things such as the Farking CTD sensor booster/dampener/energy neutralizer bug that has been ****ing a great deal of people off for a long time. And guess what? We cant do anythign about it either. At least morons recycling the wrong shyt can.

Now, now, Othnark, that was uncalled for. His suggestion wasn't as bad. Adn you wouldn't get any warning windows that way, too - marked items simply wouldn't appear in your recycling screen.
I aggree, though, that there are more important issues.
- the still present CTD's with certain ECM devices
- some gameplaychanges involving piracy
- and, for crying out loud, new content. Where are deep core mining, mobile refinerys, cloaking devices, lvl4 agents? When will we see those. At christmass...2004?

Okay, here's mine.
I was out pirating with Vice and a couple of others, and somehow, we got this guy to eject from his blackbird (after he smacktalked us from the station intercom for 20 minutes). Don't ask how, I don't know, we just did.
I raced my bb back to the station, and picked up a shuttle, and went back out to collect his bb.
so far, all went well (except I forgot to stop my shuttle, and watched, amused, as it shot off into the distance).
I took the 'new' bb back to the station, for repackaging, and hopefully, sale.
I opened the repair window, but both bb's were listed as 'blackbird', I couldn't tell them apart.
So I opened to reprocessing window, to see which one contained the most minerals (don't ask why) and once I had decided, I clicked ok, and went to go back to the repair window.
Only one bb was listed. And I had an assload of minerals sitting in my hangar.
Oopsie doodle.
undeterred, I put all the mins up for sale, and paid Vice what his share would have been, had I not turned it into dust.
I went to get back in my ship, and *shock* 'THIS ISN'T MY SHIP!!!'. I trashed my piracy-equipped bb.
You don't want to know how many rares I lost..
Blame it on drink, blame it on drugs, I dunno.
But looking back, it's kinda funny .

I went away for 24 days on the 24th september and decided to put my 8 spare implants on the market for 8 mil each. 4 Willpower and 4...perception.
Only to see that I could have made around 120 mil more if I sold the perception when I came back
And since it seems to fit here: I digged a little gem up for those who don't know this story yet.

However, he instead clicked 'board ship', easy mistake i hear you cry. The strange thing is he actually managed to board the pod so I figure it must have been empty. His now empty megathron carried on shooting at the pod and after the accompanying splat Ywev was transported 25 jumps to his clone location!
