Please feel free to ask any questions there that you need answering. Rise - A brief history: Rise came into being in a somewhat unusual way. Two of the oldest alliances in EVE-Online, "The Fountain Alliance" [FA] and "New Outer Ring Allied Democracy" [NORAD] had decided to band together as we shared many similar goals. Rise has a strong anti-piracy stance. We will not tolerate it from any of our member corporations in any form whatsoever. While Rise is a considerably young alliance, We have fought many enemies, survived harsh times and have done our best to respect other alliances, corporations and players in EVE during our respective times as part of [FA] and [NORAD]. We have grown with the times, and have adapted. We are a mainly a PVP alliance, with a thirst and hunger for battle. We strive to be one of the most respected PVP alliances in game in time, but we also have a strong industrial background and realise the importance of our industrialists or "Care Bears". Why join Rise?: ò If you are a corporation who wants to join an alliance that continually fights for its members, values loyalty, friendship, respect and honor û then we are that alliance. ò If you like a challenge, and are prepared to fight hard for what you believe, RISE is for you. ò We have a goal for the future... do you want to be there when we achieve it ? Location: ò Currently we Reside between Outer Ring, Cloud Ring and Syndicate, with Cloud Ring as our Head Quarters. Wars: ò At this time we have no CONCORD wars. ò Unofficially we are engaged in conflict in Cloud Ring with YouWhat. Benefits you can expect as a member of the RISE: ò Excellent PvE opportunities. ò Endless PvP. ò Mining of high end ores in one of the richest regions in the game. ò Experienced corporations working together as a cohesive team. To be considered as a RISE member, you must meet the following requirements: ò Your corporation must be self sufficient. ò You must recognize that great rewards only come as a result of great effort. ò Corporations should have at least 50 active members (not including alts) and around 70% of the corporations focus should be PVP, although there may be exceptions. (This will be reviewed on a case by case basis) ò You must hang up your Skull and Crossbones - Piracy is not permitted (We are willing to overlook your past, but once a member of RISE we do not permit piracy in any form.) If these requirements fit your corporation's profile and you have what it takes to be Rise member, please contact us. One of our recruitment officers will be available most of the time in game. We're RISE friendly, and working in Syndicate. And... as I didn't mean to hijack - BUMP for a great alliance.

This means, for example, that if your corp consisted of 30 highly active PVP'rs that we would give you due consideration pending a discussion with your corp representitive. Liability	Posted - 2006.10.15 19:22:00 - [22] Edited by: Flax Volcanus on 15/10/2006 19:22:47 Is a tightly-knit corp of 8 strong players (plus a few specialized alts) too small for either RISE or Vertigo? We're looking to become part of something larger without losing our small-corp identity by merging with a huge group. We love to PvP and some mission to support the ship habit, although there is one misguided soul who still spends time mining on occasion. (We tolerate him though because he's a lot of fun.) We can fly everything from AF to HAC; I will also grab a Crow soon and one guy is training for a Thanatos. Most of our PvP is in cruisers and battleships. Everyone has TS and we use as necessary. We're all mature players (age 20s - early 50s) with real lives, so we don't play 23/7. Most of us are on nightly EST and usually on weekends, too. We're interested in alliance combat from small groups to fleet. The only thing we can't do is participate in a lot of scheduled ops, since RL comes first. (Well, at least that's what my wife tells me.) But, when we are on, we like killing baddies. Convo me in-game or reply here and we can discuss. Happy to submit an app if the fit sounds good.

The corps themselves are fine, but the actual alliance organisation is TERRIBLE, and yes I have been in rise recently so I'm basing my opinion on my experiences. Maybe its changed since I was in RISE
ColWolfe	Posted - 2006.10.27 14:55:00 - [28] Yaaar. Working with the RISE military...we love war time. Its nice to have several alliance operations going on in the same day. If your Corp likes to operate on its own in an alliance we are not for you. If you don't like to fight we're not for you. If you think we will only fight once in awhile, we're not for you. POSs drop in our space and enemies pop like popcorn. The Command level meets once a week whether there are items to discuss or not, just to be on the same page. In addition the forums keep Council members connected during the week. Smaller Corporations. The reason for the size limitations is your typical, small, 20 man Corp can only field 2-5 dedicated PvPers and we're looking for a lot more. RISE does not wish to be a large alliance of non-fighters. Smaller Corps can not typically handle the logistics pressure of lengthy wars and buckle under the pressure.
