Edited by: Fokus on 04/10/2006 15:43:47 This may have been discussed before, but I wasn't around for it. I think there is a pretty big issue with the cargo space in battleships. My typhoon has only 625m3 where as my stabber has 420m3. In contrast, my typhoon is 920,000m in volume, and my stabber is 80,000m in volume. So, my Typhoon is 11.5x as big...but it doesnt even have 1.5x the cargo space? On top of this I am carrying cruise missiles, and ammunition that is twice as large, and I am carrying it for twice as many guns/launchers.
I understand that it creates a tactical need for supply lines, and that has some cool implications on larger scale combat in this game. But I think there should be a better solution than to just make battleship cargo capacity really crappy.
Of course, people have been flying battleships forever, and nobody else seems to have any major issues with this...so perhaps I am just crazy.

If battleship cargo hold was larger by a considerable factor, capacitor boosters would probably become overpowered.

Lies, my typhoon may be called a BATTLEship but I see very little BATTLE coming out of it at all.
Just joking... I'd never buy a typhoon.

True but, is making Battleship cargo space really small the best solution to that? Why not just make cap booster charges even larger than they already are?

Nice.
Anyways, it was just a thought I had as I tried to cram a couple of different missile and ammunition types for my 8 turrets/launchers into my undersized cargo hold.

no disrespect intended, but always find it amusing when ppl are unhappy about their combat ships cargo, especially if its a ship for missions than their should be np. theirs lots of ways to get loot quick and painless.,,, if its for 0.0 crawling than i sorry we ammo using dudes are just screwed no matter what )hehe those dam laser users hehe. |

Edited by: ARMORINE on 04/10/2006 17:52:57 just would liek to point out that large cargo holds are generaly thought of as bad, the more solid a ship is the better it can fight and sustain major damage without being put out of commision. just a comment if this were real.
but yes cargo hold are quite small compared to cruisers and hac, BUT thats because bs's werent meant to carry large amount of anything really. look at the us navy it resubplies its ships that are at sea on a regular basis.
nuf said. not trying to make any one mad or anything jus putting my 2 cents in
