I notice that a few stuff like Barton cap rechargers are saying Level 2 in their infos.

I think that is a bug in the description as opposed to REAL tech 2 stuff.

I believe the current loot that says 2 (II) is juts a naming bug and nothing more since they dont seem to be any better then the tech I items...
I have found multyple named power diagnostics wich have II in the name and even says tech II in the discription....yet they are exavtly the same as the tech I counterparts.
The only REAL tech 2 items that i know of thats currently in the game is infact miner II.

It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

I hate to agrea with you I found that alot tech 2 gear that was worse then the tech one stuff. I have to wonder if tech 2 is bugged or just some mistake they never fixed. I do not know why people even rant on so much about how uber the tech 2 is when I looks that the stats and it just not work the money for it.
