Today Triumvirate. alliance had its most successful day ever, as reflected by our killboards. We first recieved word that a RISK POS was under attack by a fleet of IRON in the CR-IFM system. We unfortunately could not get to the system in time to save it, however we did engage an IRON fleet in E-9 as it was leaving the system inflicting double the amount of kills in comparison to our losses.
Then another POS was being attacked, an ally of ours Eternal Empire, was being attacked by Ekliptika and Forces of Freedom. We immediately formed a gang and headed out to hit this fleet. Word that two dreadnaughts were hitting it had reached our ears, and we saw this as an opportunity. We jumped into the system X47 in pure blind and engaged the enemy fleet which was camping the gate, we destroyed it taking no losses to my knowledge. We then headed to the POS, the enemy fleet and Dreadnaughts that had been attacking it had left and warped to a safe spot, however the POS was saved, Ekliptika and Forces of Freedom proceded to leave the system after the engagement.
Then on our way back from this op, we had heard of an ISS fleet in EC-P8R, and my mailbox flashed "starbase in EC-P8R is under attack". The fleet headed straight there to prepare for its defence. We discovered 5 enemy dreadnaughts hitting the POS and 2 enemy carriers in system donating fighters to its fleet to support it in the case of an engagement. They obviously werent aware that our fleet had been north and we came in through the EWOK gate and went straight in for a Moros kill. The attack went unsuccessfully, with support and fighters enaging us we left to a safe spot where we destroyed the fighters attacking our fleet. We then jumped in 4 carriers to our POS, our fleet warped in again, the fighters were delegated and we hit the Moros again. After fierce fighting the Moros went down... secondary target was a Revelation, again after long period of fighting the Revelation went down. During this time our POS was hitting all the support that ISS were bringing in, and my eve mail was flashing constantly. Around 20-30 ISS support ships were destroyed... finally after all the other capitals had retreated we hit the last Dreadnaught a Phoenix, which was held down by our fleet. The ISS support made one last attempt to save it, but it could not tank the damage any longer and went down. During this battle we took just two Battleship and a few interceptors losses, again to my knowledge. We suffered no capital loss, and our POS was saved at 50% shields.
Today an alliance which has at most 40 members online at any one time fought 4 alliances in 3 different engagements and won them all. I would personally like to thank our enemies today, they did not run, they fought all the way through, IRON, Ekliptika, ISS and FoF we salute you but let this be a message to you, we will not be beaten. We are mercenaries yes, but the north is our playground and we will not be removed. We welcome anyone to try.
I would also like to thank RISK who are always there to back us up as true allies are.

Yes it twas a good fight in cr-
- for one where we we outnumbered, and with no cap ships of our own present - it really became fun when u brought in 3 carriers to seal the meal...
To bad u had to resort to massive drone lag too.... coulda amost been really fun.

Well done guys, Good fight.
IRON took down the RISK pos and had personal 2 to 1 kill ratio at the end of the day. We engaged the Trium gang after jumping in on them, suffering (again I know) from lag caused by the jump in and the stupidly large number of drones and fighters you guys had! We also had a few residents joining one of their first IRON gangs so we were fairly happy with what we did. All said though, it was a good fight, no smack, and IRON accomplished their primary objective of removing the hostile pos. The second engagement (the first we had no losses) was a bonus for us and we had a great day too. Cant believe how many people were rolling up to shoot you today! Lucky having so many reds :(
Props

The carriers were used in a good tactical way, you cannot deny that. Plus you had more BS than us, we needed them to secure a good victory. Also you had 2 carriers in system during the POS take down we were not to know you wouldnt use them in an engagement. Im not smacking, im stating, we had 3 carriers and needed them to win the battle.

It was amazing to see how fast you guys responded to our POS siege in ec-p8r. Only later we found out you guys where allready organised because of the earlier engagements you had. Our element of suprise was gone by then. We managed to kill a lot of fighters, but in the end, our operation was DOOM.ed.
Triumvirate won this fight, but we will be back

i hope iron pilots wont let this derail into smack and flames. it was a good fight from what i heard on ts, only too bad that some of our pilots were suffering bad from lag.
truth is you had us outmanouvered. after kraeze and myself in carriers had jumped out and we became aware of your gang, our reserve of liquid ozone was depleted in cr-. the gang still in system then had a choice of safespotting/logging or trying to bring the engagement to you guys before you got reinforced by the risk pilots still in ships from the engagement earlier.
maybe it was the wrong decision in hindsight but fights have been kindof rare for our guys lately, so our FC made the decision to jump in and cause some havoc
gf Tri. thanks for keeping pure blind interesting. ___

Its probably selfish to be a bit depressed after such a night for my boyo's. I missed it though. Real life laid the final blow on what would have been my greatest night in my eve adventure.
I wish there was real life stabs available which allowed me to get away from real life when its sucking all my energy from me and slowly killing me.
Congrats Trium and props to the people who fought us.
We do mean business though.

Edited by: liquidism on 06/10/2006 02:28:32 i dont know about the exact pos setup, but if it was an average deathstar i wont show you any love for the capital kills at all. if you only got two of them, lets just say you could have done better
5 dreads attacking a pos? ISS, please, at least throw in the 'critical mass' pf dreads and a proper support fleet if you 'siege' a pos
gj tho for the other engagements

Aye. But we were expecting to be in and out by the time they rallied. And expecting the force that came in to be disorganized and grow slowly. NOT expecting them to be already ganged and prepared for POS defence. But enough buts. We got spanked. And they got three, not two.
/nods at opponents
Lesson learned. The dreads have already been replaced, of course, just a little escrow shopping to finish for mods. And the insurance will be repaid to the support just as soon as they get round to putting in the claim for the non-corp insured BS.
We'll be back.
