Maybe this has already been discussed but a new npc race as big as the player ones invading the outer systems would be cool
excuse me if this already exists, im a newb.
I just thought it would be nice to have a threat that all the corps could gang up and do coordinated assaults on would be good
give the corps someone else to squqbble with other than each other.
Can just imagine in, loads of big corps planning simultaneous assaults on enemy strongpoints, smaller corps running supply lines for the major assaults etc. freelancers doing recon missions into enemy space.

As far as I know this doesn't exist (I never heard anything in the news/on the baords) BUT it HAS be mentioned many times before (I'm not flaming u for not having read them don't worry  )
I also think this would be a very good idea, maybe even some NPC incursions into the outrim of empire space - then corps who don't like fighting could higher mercs, etc to clear a system in order for them to mine!

well I seem to remember them ruling out aliens but they have rogue drones (and big hulking lairs and space hulks) at least partially done (no idea if they did some work on it say a year ago and then put it on hold or if its still in the works - but there in the DB) which could be a big new threat :P

This would be a good idea, but I don't think they will add this big a threat. I know many of us want something like the Shadows in Babylon5, but CCP mainly wants us to fight each others. NPC threat like this is not so likely, but PLEASE introduce harder pirates, like 200k once.
Hopefully we will see something like this played by real people.

200K RATS WOULD BE NICE BUT LIKE THE 50K ONE STILL VERY EASY TO KLLL MAYBE IF DEV MADE RATS HAVE A RANDOM WARP IN POINT TO STOP THE RESWAPN KILLING AS ITS TO EASY TO KILL 4-7 MILL ISK IN RATS PER DAY ... JUST A THOUGHT

ISL, why would u want to take out one of the very few good ways to make money in the game? there is mining, trading, and farming. manufacturing for more advanced players that have a base capital.
