I logging into eve today to find that I had the following on my character section:
Under the "CAN KILL" section on kill rights, I have a person's name.
But I have not been "pod killed" at all...but I helped pod kill someone about a week ago in high sec/ non-war. Concord popped my ship...like they should have.
So now I am puzzled...lol. It is listed as "can kill", and I am sure it is a glitch somewhere down the road...but...lets say that I did get killed via a Non-war target..pod killed in high-sec that is (all for future info):
What does this mean. I have about 25 days left to use it...and does that mean:
1. I can attack his ship..or only his pod. Both or neither?
2. Will he be flashing red to me if I can attack him, or not?
3. Will concord interfere?
4. And after I kill him back..does the kill rights go away.
5. And finally, can he attack back?

If you attacked anyone and killed their ship or pod, and they did not fight back they will have kill rights against you. If you have lost a ship or pod to anyone and you did not fight back, you will have kill rights on them. Kill rights last for one month. The person with the kill rights can initiate combat without Concord intervention. The person without kill rights cannot. Kill rights are lost once the person with kill rights has killed a ship or pod of someone they had rights against. Kill rights only gives you one kill, ship or pod but not both.
The person being attacked by the person with kill rights can fight back and kill the aggressor. If you have kill rights on someone they won't always be flashing red. If you don't have kill rights or are being attacked by someone with kill rights against you, you can't attack back unless they are flashing red, which they should be once they aggress you.
I think that covers it.

killrights dont cover pods.
concord dosent belive in the poddin of pod pilots.
the only people u can pod with out bad things are -5, war targets (and 0.0 ofc).

Hmmmm...I'll have to double check again, but i'm pretty sure the guy is not flashing to me...however, his little cameo is in my kill rights box labeled "can kill". So...anyway, thx for the help I guess. While helpful, I think I am a bit more confused as to how I got kill rights on him when I have not been podded by him, but have podded him myself...

Now, this ain't something I know much about, but I'm pretty sure you cannot pod kill a -5s' pod. They still flash, but I believe its a bug & they are not acually flagged.

perfectly legal. -5 they are deemed in concords eyes as the only non war target to be podded.
to try it out make a alt on your main and start a 15 day trial. have said 15 day trial pod said alt(on main), over and over till 15 day trial is to -5. then make another alt(on main) that obviously dosent have killrights and have him podd the -5 15 day he wont get a sec hit.
just to be safe once u reach -5 pod (main)alt again so u dont read -5 when u are -4.9

People you have killrights on do not flash for you.
Please dont confuse the term podded with "blew his ship up"
If he blew your ship up without you returning fire you get killrights.
Podding is his pod going squish.

O...I'm fully aware of what podding is....hehe. I'm just confused as to how I got kill rights. I have never "not" fighted back before and lost a ship...nor have Ibeen podded. Now I have podded this guy...and thus...am confused as to how I have kill rights on him...does that make more sense?
