My corp has too low standing to the gallente faction, to create a POS in empire. We want to temporarily kick out the members with low gallente standing, then wait until the standing goes up enough, and build a POS in gallente space.
after the POS is created, we want the members return to the corp and the standing will drop again.
What do you think about it ? Will this function ?
Will the POS still operate after the standing has dropped ?

Sounds feasible.
Keep in mind that the POS can not be put online or any mew mods anchored to it while the standing remains under the minimum.
But if you deploy everything you need on the POS, and make sure it always has fuel of every kind (and stays onlined always), it will most likely function as any other POS.
Would be interesting to know if this worked.

I just found out, that you can not only have no Moon Harvesters in sec>0.3, you also cannot anchor Reactors.
Just in case you want to use one, i thought to tell you, because i didnt read that anywhere.

This will work
Ive done it myself. The best thing you can do, since you want the orginal corp to own the pos, is to kick all members but the one with the highest standings to gal. Then pound the missions untill you have reached the desired sec lvl for the system in question.
You only need standing to anchor the tower...none of the other modules matter. Once the tower is in, you are good to add other members back and complete the setup...

Do you need the standings to online the pos, or just to anchor it?
Also once you kick everybody you need to run an important mission that affects the faction you want to increase, gal in your case. We wiated two days for faction standing to increase and it never moved until i ran an important mission. Corp standing only increase after downtime btw, and expect to wait a few days for it to creep up. We started at 1.5, next day it went to 2.7, next 3.7 etc.
If your standings are right above what you need to be albe to anchor, this may take weeks because as the corp standings get closer to your personal standings, the daily increase gets smaller and smaller.

so once our corp standings drop i can offline/online it whenever i want? my concerns are if we ever let the thing run out of gas, do i need to kick everyone again to turn it back on.

No.
once it is "anchored" you are done. Onlining has no effect on standings. Once/if it goes offline you only need to fuel it and online it again to contiune operations. Anyone with starbase config(?) manaagement role can do this.
