Dear CCP,
I'm really glad you gave us direct ship controls.
It's one of my favourite features.
But please, please, please can we have it so that using the keyboard controls does not automatically accelerate the ship.
I just want to be able to rotate my ship in-place.

Understand... the server sees your ship as a "sphere."
It has no back or front unless it has a trajectory first... and, if standing still, it will move in any direction equally fast regardless of the direction your client thinks the ship is facing.
Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective.

I'd like to see what the OP asked for too, but it would require a redesign of EVE's entire space ship code. It'd be awesome to update it, cause it sucks, but I'm not sure it's practical.

all they would need to do is have the model rotate not redo space ship code
but his still may be more effort than it is worth
Fuel block colors? Missiles for Caldari T3?
