Pirates, in their never-ending flurry of ways to get people to come to visit them, started in the trade chan and caught me.
Good ol' gonzo was selling 2 27.44 expander sfor 4 mil each, a deal i could not pass up. It was negotiated to trade for 600 mega. Great deal.
As usual, a good system and then a buyer check was in order. Hmm, jan, a .4 system. Not bad by itself, but makes me wary when coupled with a great item price. So i check gonzo, because i am not personally familiar with him. Biomass. Yea, that says it all.
Knowing better, i use my so-named Expendable Atron to get there with its 2 basic overdrives and afterburners. I jump in, and i was pleasantly surprised to not be dead within seconds. Then gonzo feigns 'troubles' with docking. He has me warp to him (using a weak line of reasoning, i might add. tsk.). I warp in and there are the dozen hammerhead drones, and 5 biomass waiting. Not being surprised the bit, I tap 'enjoy' into our chat and eject so i can get away before they know to target me. I named it expendable atron for a reason.
I quickly warp away and laugh. Well played, biomass.
In my cargohold when i jumped in was a bookmark saying 'i didn't want to leave you nothing', and 1 mega. You guys earned it :-P
I escaped, after watching a few other not-so-swift people ***** them out in local. Haha. You guys need to check your sellers.
That was worth it. heh.
...and so the next atron that comes out of my factory will be christened, Expendable Atron II

you must be a noob of sorts, by checking the maps for the info, you could have seen the HUGE amount of ships kills, and just as huge amount of pods killed...(you actualy wasted your time, or just fell for an obvious ploy)
BIOMASS though, must not have the ability to take anyone on without inducing lag with a bunch of drones, and having a half dozen helpers...sad, very sad, biomass can't kill an Atron without a huge advantage and cheap (some say exploit) tactics...as far as a known pirate telling a lie, well DUH, what can you expect from that sort of scum.

i think what he meant is that biomass cartel does not respect a engagement of direct trade thus killing the courier before doing the trade is like shooting himself with a gun in the feet.
Who wanna go sell them a bship now ? or trade a gun to tank ceo if you know that hes gonna ambush you so he dont have to pay . even m0o and sinister were more respectable :P

uhhh biomass is made up of old m0o and sinister members i thought...if so, that tosses your ideal of them having any kind of honor out the airlock

Well, each item in a ship has a 50% chance to be destroyed when it blows up - theems the mega was unlucky.

I had an Indy blow up with 60mils worth of mega and Zyd and none of it survived  so i dont reckon that is 50% chance eh

i don't get why people come here to either brag or to give heart-string stories.
if i do stupid things in life, i don't go onto a talk radio station and tell thousands of listeners about it.
Real piracy is sadly lacking at the moment, but that's down to the mechanics of the game |
