Looking around the forums at the moment, same on IGN and doing the tutorials.
Just wondering if anyone has any decent guides?
Thanks,

EVE is one of those games that is difficult to find a guide for, because it is ever-changing.
http://www.grismar.net - Good guide
http://www.eve-online.com/guide/ - The closest thing to an "official" guide there is

Yep, thats the great thing about Eve - its all one game world. So you are playing with and against everybody else. :)
China has its own cluster, but thats because their government have special rules for mmorpg's over there.

there is no better player tutorial/guide than joining a player controlled corp. if you join the right corp the pilots should be willing to help you out, instants answers at your fingertips.

join the "recruitment" channel in game or look through the "recruitment" page on these forums. just be honest about looking for a corp that can help a newer pilot.

Cough *mine* Cough..... :)
Picking a corp is a bit hard, there are a lot of different people out there.
Talk to as many corps as possible, espically the ceo talk to them.
Find the one right for you. -----------

Edited by: Khan Farshatok on 08/10/2006 17:10:40 Greetings, DreadedHunter! Welcome to Eve! Say goodbye to rest of your life.
About the corps... There are some basic things you should look for: -Do they arrange weekly minining ops, do missions together... -Does recruiter take the time to interview you, to see if corps's goals match yours? Do they explain to you what the corp does, what's expected of members, what benefit new members will see from the corp and how the corp will benefit from having you? -Does recruiter do anything to get an idea of your personality, see if you are outgoing or does he review you about general attitude and your willingness to learn etc.
In my first corp there was very little in the way of an interview or real explanation of what the corp did. So I left pretty quickly, it just wasn't the corp for me. My next corp, I chatted to the ceo for nearly an hour about things before joining. I knew what I wanted from a corp (more specifically, what I didn't want).
Good luck for your quest for finding your home in Eve!
