Could have been something i was looking for in them :(

6 mins?! Mellow out..........
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. |

I ma usually quite mellow over this isue, but unfortunately the 6 minutes costs me starting a skill, and also failing two on going missions, which after one jump and a dock would have been sucessful.
It not the end of the world, but its rather irritating when this occurs, with no word of explaination.

I usually quit doing anything important 10-20 mins before downtime. ----------------------------------------- Sig rented by Drethen Nerevitas. |

Me too, seems like the smartest thing to do. Unless I'm doing something really important (important to be a game ), I usually log off 10-15 minutes before downtime.

I think the "...closing now..." warning is enough of a hint to start your new skill. If you didn't heed that warning, then it's your own fault.

yes lovefist point taken, but the skill was on a separate alt, and the missions needed to be completed on the other one first :(
if downtime has been as scheduled, both would have been completed

Anyone consider that maybe, just maybe, they didn't expect people to be on until the very last minute?

Anyway, when the server goes down, _everything_ stops so the whole "I missed out on training skills/finishing a mission/picking up ph4t l00t" complaint is a little weak.

Not that it really bothers me that much, but if they say the servers are going down at 11:00, it doesn't take a whole lot of effort to actually take them down when they say they will.

Nor does it take any effort to log out ten minutes before the proposed downtime.

Err, you're very wrong. Skills do train when the servers are down. Mission times do count when the servers are down. And, not sure about it, but I think cans time out when the servers are down too.

Jarjar I don't think they do... At least I once had a container with something like 1200 bistot in (when we had a LAN with a super-duper mining op and you, the protection, left )
Anyway our indys didn't have time to move the ore, and I fell asleep I think. And the container survived 30 min + downtime...
But maybe it was just a good container or something =)

Bahhh lets see you post the same things on the days when the servers come up early. And that happens pretty frequently in m experience. -Othnark

I think the point is that the company should be professional enough to nail downtime at precisely the same time everyday.
