Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out here, i resently got a megathron (Yey) and i have this mining equip - 7miner 2's and a missle launcher i use all 8 of my drones as harvestors i do carry 4 orges as well but i would like to solely defend myself with my missle launcher i mine in 0.6 space so nothing can last a single hit from my missles. Anyway
I mine with a corp mate in a iteron 5, we have loads of Giant secures in groups of 3's all over the system we mine in, i was wondering if a missle accidently hit a cargo can would concord come and kill me
Also if a missle accidently hit a my corp mate would concord come then
- Cheers

Im not 100% on this but you should be able to do pretty much what you want to a corpmate & Concord wont intervene. The same should apply to corp cans. Hitting someone elses cans whether direct or splash should have the same results as shooting the owner directly. Firing missiles close to 'roids <can> be unpredictable. Their proximity and "clipping" factor can make the missile prematurely detonate, with unfortunate results to any nearby drones Hope this helps

You will be ok.
splash dmg against a corp member wont get you toasted by concord.
But just to be sure, gang with him also.
Happy mining.

I THINK the way it works is that the jettison container has a certain amount of hitpoint and it gradually loses them until two hours later, then it poofs. I've seen containers that have taken splash damage poof quite early (after like 20m).
To be safe, if the can has taken splash damage, make a new one and transfer the stuff to it.
Anchored containers seem to be pretty invulnerable so you shouldn't have any problem with your giant cans.
