Length 3 minutes 30 secs Size 64MB
Myself and a corp mate roaming low sec in a pair of Crows looking for bigger ships to take down... Most of this footage was shot at the start of September and for various reasons (mainly being a Fraps Mong and not turning it on) haven't been able to add to the collection. Just for the record we are not pirates, we have quite selective rules of engagement.
The fights... Brutix... I found him flashing in a belt so we set about womping him, took us the best part of 20 mins. Tempest... Didn't like the look of him TBH... Really really awful setup, took us about 10 mins to take down... The guys also claimed to be an experienced resident anti pie when we convo'd him after he died, although we'd never seen him before... ever. Note his crying in local. Wolf... Not really a challenge, just looking for something quick to fill in that gap in the music. Cyclone... Bloody close, I've lost many Crows getting caught on roids, CCP please allow us to set orbit vectors manually! After we killed him most of Friboldi mobilised to come and hunt us. We managed to take down the Rupture and a few T1 frigs after that (those weren't filmed though) and generally had some good fun doing hit and run for some of the night. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, smack free local, one of the better nights I've had of PVP.
This is my first video so please be gentle, filmed at a time when I was a Fraps nub (sorry about any slightly rough camera work) and relative inty nub, constructive criticism only please. ------------

Yeah... I'd like'd to have made something a bit longer, but I played about with the rest of my footage and various music and couldn't match that tempo... Thought best to leave it short and sweet. ------------

Well I certainly like the clean editting, the speed changes, and god knows it doesnt get much better than Queen.
But to be perfectly honest, most Crow gank videos are pretty boring. You have a nearly unbeatable setup, you dont really have to do all that much, and as shown by this video, the only thing that posed a threat to you was some Veldspar. Im sure its a lot of fun, everyone likes ganking. But unfortunetly ganking in Crows just doesnt make for that thrilling of footage.
Anyways great work for a first vid.

Yeah, I'm not going to try and dress mutton up as lamb, TBH they were all easy ganks to an extent, the only worry with some was running out of ammo. A lot of our better fights ended up not getting filmed because I was either saving my FPS for the battle or I just plain forgot. It was more just working with what footage I had and just having a bit of fun putting it all together and seeing what came out.
Thanks for the positive responses guys. ------------ Crow Squad... An Audio and Visual Joygasm by Larkonis Trassler |

Answer for a Crow is 2x Prototype Engine Enervator, 1x Med or Large NOS and 2x Target painters and its "Goodbye Crow"

Get yer missile-range and inty-skill up and do the same thing with rockets. Goes much faster and you'll get to fit some useful stuff in your low-slots (after all, 2.8km/s orbit isn't all that much - I wonder what you had in your lows since it obviously wasn't an EANM II or plate (not that you could fit it), you only need 1 MAPC for this setup and I highly doubt you have the cpu to use two ballistic controls - 3rd slot was? cpr maybe?).
I wonder why you used precision missiles against targets this big though? Speed reduction while not getting any advantage.
Trust me: rocket pilots are much, much sexier :) (hint: 1.98 sec rate of fire on a RoF-rigged Crow without BCUs and Rocket Spec 5 ;) Launch that from 15.2km range. :))

I set my orbit to 15km, on my T2 std. launcher crow. Id rather NOT get inside 15km, EVER. Rocket crows are only good on 1v1 ceptor fights. For fighting bigger ships, that can have nos and stuff, you'd wanna be outside 15 km!!
But damn sexy video, nice kills. Its not often you see videos like this, where its hardly ganking. Its not hard to see that you are better then them, because 2 ceptors vs. for instance the tempest, thats amazing.
Myself im a crow pilot, and what can i say? CROW FTW!!
Yet im afraid that this video is gonna make people buy crows, thus the prices go higher

I dont want to be rude or anything, but thats total bull****. The only way a tempest can kill 2 std missile crows is by using nos, so if you dont have nos fitted you cant touch em. You can propaly tank them for ages though, since they got crap dps. And if you hit orbit at 15 there is a big chance your target will get out of scram range (unless you got faction scramblers or are really slow ) And i can see that you havent used a rocket crow much. 3 rocket launcher t2, 75mm railgun t2 and 400mm plate in your lows, will get you ~blaster-like dps at 15km range and I think its about 1200 armor.

Wow this brings me back, just thought I'd return to the thread...
Precisions were used because back in them days they did extra damage (80 as opposed to 75) and once you have the target tackled and you're confident he can't track you then ***** on with the precisions...
Speed is pretty low because this was all done pre Kali, before rigs and before the Nano Craze, I was only using a named MWD and 3% speed hardwirings (my ceptor now is about two and a half times as fast again).
Off the top of my head my fitting was:
3x Std IIs Catalysed MWD, 20k, Cap recharger PDS II, CPR, Nano Gave about 4k/s flat out.
