You can also use an active tank on the gila with similar values. The drones are just for some evehq tests, use something different if you like.
Great! :) I'm using shield boost implants, so an active tank would be awesome :) Guessing I would switch the shield extenders for a small/medium shield booster and a shield boost amplifier? |

The active version is more uncommon, more expensive and harder to fit. The advantage is that you can speedtank the whole time with a smaller signature, but not sure if its worth it. In the end Im simply using the passive version like everyone else and save the isks.
Actually Im using a stratios as I dont like melee combat. '
Tnanks :) Aiming for either the Stratios or possibly a Tengu in the future. Both ships are roughly 18 days away from me, still can't decide which one to get :)
On the Gila note, eventough I have shield implants, maybe I should go for the passive tank?

I dont own a tengu so I cant comment. Strat is a very good alround ship with plenty of different fitting options, for example I can do the same like the gila but with geckos. Or shoot with lazors or whatever. Gila is pretty onesided.
Yeah, the Stratios would be a nice ship to fly, but I would need to direct my training to be able to fly it. About 10 days. |

Oh, by the way. If you add the factor of pvp, would the active shield tank be better than the passive? |

I wasn't referring to actively searching for combat, more the defensive kind if I get jumped while exploring :) Going to try the Gila in 0.4-0.5 systems

hmm, adding that exact setup in eft, I get 799 dps, but only 40, 356 EHP with all skills on V. What did I do wrong?
