Will the introduction of boosters bring new drugs to Eve or will the current crop of nerve sticks, drop and various other illegal substances now be able to be 'used'? Or will they do away with the rp 'drugs' in favor of the boosters that actually work like the drugs are supposed and are illegal in most places? Why even have the rp 'drugs' like nerve sticks and such if the new boosters will be the real thing in illegal drugs?
At least it opens up another avenue of commerce in Eve as the smugglers that have been irking out a meager living now have their routes established and need only set up a lab to produce the goods...

I would love to see the standard drugs have mostly negative effects, but do funny things, like alter the graphics to psychadelic colors, swirls, distortions and even double vision and "trails".
Imagine the fun at your next gatecamp as everyone just sits around and trips out while they have some booze, it'll be a laugh riot.

It'd be hell funny and pretty fun,,,, as a mish runner i'd imagine there'd be new challenges set,,, "Hey, can you solo run Worlds Collide while on Nerve Sticks, Frentix AND Crystal Egg?". Heh, it'd make podjumping so much easier too, just take too much of one drug rather than wait 2 mins for self destruct.
Unfortunately the realistic portrayal of substance abuse would probably screw over the (ESPN? I forget the name of the organisation) rating of the game, so that you'd have to be 18+, and would probably even be illegal in some countries. One word,, emo,,, |

Everquest let you get drunk and distorted the graphics, if they can get away with it, eve can too. :P

Edited by: MissileRus on 14/10/2006 12:27:41 WoW has this..
i would like some effects though, could only be fun random locking, random firing, random module activation, screen WTF effects, sending random people in local random amounts of isk etc.
would rock and be extremely funny. not even being drunk should be risk free if you take the wrong drink/drug or combination
edit: activate self destruct sequence, send insulting drunk mails to locals, opening cargo bay ejecting all your stuff etc etc
