Im a very harsh critic i guess this time.
Dont EVER let ANYONE put you off though - youll be trolled, and other stuff probably. Right now, your playing, some sounds some beats nothing of any value though.
Keep posting as you evolve, may even turn immense as my trolls turn to pure worship - never know "caught on fire a little bit, just a little." "Delinquents, check, weirdos, check, hippies, check, pillheads, check, freaks, check, potheads, check .....gangsn++ all here!" |

Think it would be better with out all the percussion elements, the melodic notes are rather tightly packed as it is, the percussive bottom end just muddies it up.
Watch your sweeps, too many off key notes in there. It can work from time to time but it happens too frequently for my tastes.
Try maybe a snare and a closed high hat for your percussion, snare on the thirds followed by a dotted quarter perhaps to give it a lead to the next measure, closed high hat ticks maybe on the off beat, to go with the semi Caribbean feel.
Drop a few notes from the melodic elements and work towards more of a syncopated counterpoint, xylophone and metal drums can do this very well, as they tend to be rather staccato instruments naturally, things it sounds like you have in there. |
