Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum but it relates to Faction Warfare. I was reading up on the history of the EVE faction's and found that in the lore, Gallente controls Caldari Prime. Yet it is hostile in EVE. Technically, shouldn't Gallente be allowed to fly in their own space? |

You should have posted it in here.
TLDR to your question - 'cause Caldari Prime is still a caldari home planet with caldari peeps on it and they want it back. |

I have another, related question... why can't I go into Caldari High Sec? After all I've done to further the State's cause you would think that the State Police would be willing to look the other way on my other "transgressions"...

Col. Jessop said it best:
Son, we live in a universe that has low security systems, and those systems have to be guarded by men with ships. Who's gonna do it? You? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for ship crews, and you curse the Militia. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That crew deaths, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.....
These bastards in high sec don't understand that we milita fighters have to make life and death decisions every day - for the good of our fleet, and for the safety of billions who call high security space "home", we must do things that CONCORD finds repulsive. And we must pay a terrible price for doing so.

Yeah it is silly how it works.
I have always likened it to a country shooting its own ships when they try to come into the harbor.
If someone does something bad in high sec - Concord will get them. The Faction NPCs in high sec should never shoot their own militia imo.
It is a pointless game mechanic that causes annoyance to FW players while having with no benefits when it comes to keeping high sec residents in the 'safety' they falsely believe they deserve.

Caldari Prime is a planet, in the Luminaire system. Gallente can fly there.
New Caldari Prime is a different planet, in a system of the same name, and is not controlled by the Federation, in game or in lore.

Alli Ginthur wrote:INB4 galmil circlejerk I think you are confusing a killboard related thread, and this backstory or rp thread. We in Galmil will only drop our pants and whip it good if it is the former. If it is the later, well, you should move your post to this place https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=260
CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting-áoff button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

because even if we sacriice our lives protecting the federation, we are still not exempted from our criminal acts like podding and engaging neutrals.
