The weirdest thing happened to me today.. I took out a couple of giant containers deep into 0.0 space, and jettisoned and anchored them in place like I've done a dozen times before.
After they were anchored, I approached both of them, but the other one was now working as a quickjump - Whenever I got closer than 1km of it, I was taken 4000-4500au out from the center of that solarsystem. I filed a petition, as a result of which a GM rescued me a couple of times, but now I still got one can out there that I just can't use at all.
Has anyone else had experiences like this? Maybe the relatively short distance to Jove space is causing all this ;)

If you equip loads of microwarp drives and injectors then hurtle towards the can at leat 500km/s you will bounce back with such force you could (in theory, never tested :) ) land in Jove space. |

no...its not worth trying.
no matter how many AUs you get bounced from a can(I dont care if its 100 BILLION au), you will NEVER land in Jove space.
You absolutely MUST use a gate or jumpdrive to enter another system.

dont know about bumping secure cans...
but some eejit bumped my pint the other night - i bumped his ass all the way to jove space, and probably beyond |
