At midnight, Eve time, something dasterdly has hapened. One of our people mining in a system near our home, made this last transmission.
Miner: OMG OMG! What is happeneing?
Sarkos: What? What's going on?
Miner: Black and orange flashing lights. I can't see.
Sarkos: Where are you? Do you need help?
Miner: What the....OMG! HELP!
Sarkos: WHERE?
Miner: IT'S HIDEOUS! Large, orange. The face, the face is....grinning.
Sarkos: Where are you, I will send help.
Miner: The large Scord roid is now a large grinning pump........ARRRRRRRGH!
Sarkos: I found out were you are, warp away, warp!
That was the last transmission. No ship was found, no large orange, grinning roid. Nothing. Nothing except a large space in the asteroid belt where something may have been.
Another oddity is there were some pirate drops found in the same belt. When we checked them out, they contained......candy? What is happening is anyones guess. All be advised to this horrible occurance. We are now searching our data banks for some information, in the hopes of identifying this new danger.
Be carefull all.
Either free the slaves or we will come and get them.

Black flashing lights indeed?
Very odd. Suggest we recalibrate the camera and sensor drones on all Oracle vessels. Black light can lead to instances of bellbottoms and tiedye shirts, and this would be a fate worse than death.

well it's been six months, and some of you play 23/7 with maybe a few hours kip here and there.
Anyone been abducted by aliens whilst mining, alone in deep space ? (I was abducted by aliens whilst mining crokite, i had several hours of missing time, they returned me during the one hour down-time, which caused a severe lapse in the space-time continuem. I've radio'd Dr Who for help, last reports were his little blue police box Tardis was seen somewhere near Sarum Prime, but rumour was Tank Ceo podded the Tardis, thinking it was another newbie)
Ahhh well, he was due for re-generation anyhow |

Crap! The pirates have discoved the latest CC secret weapon. "The Great Pumpkin Torpedo" «.
The designers assured me the speed and multi-spectral ECM that produces the black light would block communication signals. The Orange paint job is widely used for all prototype equipment and the glowing yellow grin was just glare off a sun. I guess we need to head back to the drawing board on this one. The dropped candy is the results of a still top secret effect of The Great Pumpkin Torpedo«.
