Remove jump queues!
Ever got stuck at a gate in 0.0 and been killed because of the jump queue?

I was killed by concord in highsec while racing through in my ceptor cause of jump queues =( [Lost Gistii 1MN too :(]

usefulness of petition - priceless (ie good idea affect however on CCP will be notta) kali is coming that should solve a lot of issues tho we need testers on SISI once CCP pull their fingers out and get it up

Hate to be the one to break this to you bud but if you think the servers are bad now they will be a crap load worse after kali hits, with the huge changes in kali 1 i would be supprised if eve is even remotly playable for the first few weeks.
just think of all the lag causing new features they are adding(contract systems/seamless map zoom/in game voice chat)
yes i know they are changing parts of the code to improve performance but what good does that do when they are putting new features in that will take away any good the code change does?
oh and seeing half your 80 man gang jump while the rest get a jump Q msg saying there is a 2min+ wait for the rest to jump ftl ccp

the idea needs refining... no jump queues in 0.4 or lower... and people running from concord should have priority in 0.5 and higher...
Or something like that... or people waiting in the queue should be shot to a deep space waiting area...

While yet to find it worth jumping up and down about and filing petitions about (I haven't been ganked while queuing yet) I do find it some what farcical that:
1) On gang ops we can't all jump thru a gate at once
2) In empty systems while flying solo I have to queue
3) When chasing enemies they jump and I need queue thus ending any hope of a chase
I appreciate its a plus in terms of it being managed lag control, but in 0.0 its a little ridiculous.

well i signed, but the petition is cheapened by people who write things like 'It sucks hard' / 'The que is ridiculus. Get new servers, improve the code... something.' / 'get rid of it NOW!!'

Took seven minutes to get into Cistuvert in the Verge Vendor region today because there was 110 pilots in the local there.
As I was flying through, I inquired in local where the convention was, as I wanted to attend. I was informed it was just a bunch of noobs using one of the 5 training complexes there.
A thought occured to me then. These training DED spaces should be spread out amongst other systems. Wouldn't that make it easier?, I thought to myself.

So CCP turn off the jump queues and instread you jump stright in and it might result in a NODE death or server lag for ever one else.
The Queues are only meant to come into play if the node is running at 95% usage or if there are over 400 people on the node.
Please note that said on the NODE not system. 1 node could be running many many systems,and possabily systems that are not even next to each other.

Node death is nasty but it is a great leveller, no one really gains from it as the effected systems a re frozen in time until the node is rebooted.
Q's are a nightmare, it is a totally random thing, as you mentioned several systems share resources and as such you can't think, "ah, will go around there lots of folks inside, gate might take a while to activate". No, instead you get a totally random "you can't jump" message that might only effect a few few members of your gang if you have one. On getting the message you have two choices:
A) Stay, click like a loon and pray no one turns up and attacks you
B) Run to a safe and try again in a bit...

i was screwed over by this jump que thing just the other day running to hi sec in a scythe and some goodies this raven attacks me n of course i shoot back.
and WTF the gate wont let me jump for defending myself yea i put the hurt to the raven<50% hull> before he pops my cruiser but there is no way i should be hung out to dry by being que'd or disallowed because i was defending myself i was so gone on thru the gate it wasent funny with my stuff and this stupid thing just totally screws my escape over

Actually it sounds like you didn't get stuck due to the jump queues but because you got an agression timer on your head. Gates have always worked like this and it is the same with stations. If you intend to jump/dock you better stay away from F1-F8 or you will get stuck outside long enough to get killed.
