The base speed of the tempest is 140 m/s
With Nav skill @ 5 I should see a speed of around 175 m/s
yet I am consistantly getting only 114 m/s solo or 123 m/s in a gang with someone at Leadership @ level 4
This started to happed yesterday, but not ALL the time
(sometimes speed would suddenly jump to 'normal').
Today however, I consistantly am stuck with 114 or 123 m
/sec.
Difficult to submit a bug report at this stage as I can't replicate it, that is I'm stuck with it! In any case,
it is having quite an effect on game play and I'm not sure a Bug Reports will particularly help me.
Any clues as to what's happening? Btw The ship has not got any expanders fitted, and the speed control is set to max. All other modules do not affect spped - i've put them off line.

any additional armor or cargohold? check their info for reductions.

Thanks Max, but no. I stripped the ship in a station. With nowt fitted it still shows the speed as 114 m/s.

Likewise. I've petitioned, but I'm not sure that a GM could do much and anyway, given the state of gameplay atm, probably wouldn't hear anything until Christmas. The only thing left I can think of is to repackage it. But that would invalidate the insurance of 30-odd mil. A lot of moola for a poor old git!

sure you don't have some kinda T2 ammo fitted ?
after looking at your ship, i think you got Quake L fitted !!!!!!!!

 Ok Sharkbait you got me there! But I'm sure that when I stripped all the stuff off the ship it was still showing 114 m/s in the fitting bay! Bah! Musta been the lag... lol
Thanks anyway. Old gits really must read the small print on the packaging when they buy stuff  else one day it might say "Caution! Use of this module will turn the whole universe to ashes. Use with care." Then i'll file a bug report and say "Where did everyone go?"

I know what Ya mean Jack...
I was having the same Issues with My speed. It was happening to Me for 2 days until I figured it out on My own.
That said - I sometimes Kit Spike and or Javelin. When Im running with Spike I see no changes to My Base speed - BUT - When I use Javelin I see a loss of 47 M/Sec from My Base speed.
This is due to the Ammo (Javelin) having a Velocity drain of 14% per Weapon thats loaded with it. I was loading 2 Weapons and hence It gave Me the 47 M/Sec loss.
Another thing I noticed was that when I'd run out of Ammo and the Weapon would reload - My Shields would go down a Quarter per Weapon and then rebuild Itself as the Ammo finished reloading.
One tip that I realized here is that running the Weapon out of Javelin and not having Ammo to reload (Assuming You have no Javelin left) will leave the Shields at that depleted value (2 Weapons out of Ammo put Me at Half Shields).
This made Me think that I better be wary to NOT have Javelin run out If I'm ever going into a Battle. Now I'm not 100 per cent sure about this but - If I run out of Javelin in this Instance - I could actually end up giving Myself a "Killing Blow".
Ouchhhhhhh...
