I'm getting ready to order a new PC for Vista. Can the EVE 'techies' tell me which graphic card/s they recommend please. ?

If you can wait it out a bit, in November the new DirectX10 cards are due. This will be a nice investment for the future, allthough I'm not fully up-to-date on wether the Eve Vista client uses Dx10 features.
If you want a card now, it would be nice to know what resolution you play on, what your budget is and if you play other games beside Eve. ----------------------------------------------- Creative Industry Division

I'm planning on getting the PC in January 2007, on the release of Vista.
I'm getting an Intel dual core chip, 2 gig of RAM, + the 'usual' odds and sods - DVD/RW, sound card etc etc.
I currently have a Radeon 9600 series, using 24 bit colour, and 1024 x 768 resolution, with a 19" Belnea monitor.
Thanks again - Jangor

If that is the case then there is no sense looking for a good graphics card now. Wait till January and then see whats on the market. A graphics card that supports dx10 in midrange budget will then be available from both brands, ati and nvidia, and then you can make a choice based on performance/budget. A good site to look for a review is tomshardware.com. ----------------------------------------------- Creative Industry Division

No need to worry about DX10 hardware until Vista at least have a shipping date set tbh.
None of the current videocards on the market support DX10.

Actually some cards do support directX 10. 7900GTX for example. If you look at nvidia site there is a list of cards that are directX 10 ready. Unless ive got my wires crossed
edit - ok scrap that, i was trying to be clever, but it turns out i'm talking *******s. It says their vista ready, not DirectX 10.
