Edited by: R0ME0 on 17/10/2006 15:04:22 I am looking at setting 3 new alts up on existing accounts, and looking at the idea of 2 for a Recon Force, and the 3rd for a T2 sniper. These alts will be disiplind for only this no cross training etc etc.
Now i was told by one friend to go with a Arazu and pilgrim for the recon force, feedback welcome.
I was obviously going to stat my alts with +3 impants etc and do the learning skills first, but what i'm looking for is anyone who can help with advice with what Characters to pick when creating the alt, and what custom setting to select aswell as for attribute adjustments to give that little extra head start.
All feedback welcome on this..
Cheers

Surely you're better off training one char per account? -- We are the Octavian Vanguard www.octavianvanguard.net

You seem to have enough isk going by.... I would buy characters if I were you... Isk you can get sooner or later, saving training time is what it's all about imo

Well i have 3 Open accounts at the moment, and the alts on each of them complete there training needed for what i need of them, also i want to use these toons at the same time if you get what i mean, so need to be on there own account

Edited by: Rin Eyre on 17/10/2006 15:51:04 Max you can get at start is around 100-110k SP. Usual Frigate 4 route with most bloodlines. Or, maybe Khanid with Gunnery 5?
Don't know about Khanid, but in the first route you'll save 1-2 days at most. And cosidering that T2 sniper (BS?) includes several month of stright training and another several to excel (just in shooting)... add little tankability/fitting and you get another several month. You are looking at half a year at minimum "not bad" and year for "just good" T2 battleship sniper.
So... in general - look at the bloodline face/attributes. Anything other will smooth over the way entirely.
P.S. And surely choose weapon system for sniping very carefuly .

I would say that even a mining account with 10mil SP's would be better than waiting to train up new ones since he'll prolly have some learning trained already and several useful engineering skills and stuff (ofcourse there is the starting attributes factor, but with all the new skills you can surely see that it will even out eventualy)
But again that's just me

yeah my biggest worry with getting an alt is what there attributes are laid out like already as that could really come back and bite me in the arse.
where would you say the most skillpoints would like? Weapons or Ships? so i know which attributes to maybe boost up more..

Biggest - Perception, next Wil/Int, all others after that. Don't need both Per and Wil maxed, because most skills will be Per as primary (Gunnery/BS5), and Wil won't matter much (Wil goes primary to Role ships like HAC, Recon etc). Int over Mem will get you many fitting and tank skills in reasonable time for same reasons.
P.S. Attributes don't bite much. After you spend month for Large guns, month for BS5... several days plus/minus on alt won't matter at all, it's not like you will be late to anything.
