I'm surprised nobody wants to hang with the battlestar fans. I'd like to captain the Battlestar Galactica. Damn that ship was cool. |

Commanding a Deathstar would be nice. Though idk if that would be considered a ship or a small moon...
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

It sure would be nice if there was a sequel to Alien 3.
Sure would be nice.
As for ships, I'd like to fly a Abaddon Kador Edition. So pretty...

I'm a little surprised no one has mentioned that staple of smugglers everywhere. The firefly class ship, Serenity. I think you know that it would be the ultimate ship for deep space transporting of questionable goods.
On top of that you get to hang out with Malcolm Reynolds and his quirky crew. Who could say no to that?

Somebody did mention it.

All the ships mentioned in this thread have been awesome. Im enjoying all the good reads.
Destiny always seems decades away, but suddenly it's not decades away; it's right now. But maybe destiny is always right now, right here, right this very instant, maybe.

1)nero's ship from star track
2) swordfish 2
3) normandy (mass effect)
....on the other hand... my other choice if the ship looked cooler. harlot's ship . I mean it is invincible. (on Netflix)
and if the ship could be a car....with thrusters added to it...definitely the green hornets car.
or maybe pops' car from the regular show. (car already can fly in space) |

Some random stuff that popped into my mind:
* Star Destroyer. Unforgettable first time I went to a theater (1977).
* "I am from a warrior race. We EXIST for battle. Our creed is to live fast, fight well, and have a beautiful ending." St. Exmin [and her tiny hyper fast & agile ship that seemingly sacrificed defenses and armaments to be rigged to end in a beautiful explosion.]
* The Queller drive, which is essentially propulsion via a steady-state neutron bomb: "(fast neutrons are) spewed out into space, annihilating everything in their path. You'd survive better standing smack in the middle of a nuclear explosion."
* "Death Blossom" in a modified Star League Gunstar.
* Serleena's tiny planet-destroying ship.
* Spaceball One's ludicrous speed.
* Skin-dancing in a Whitestar.
* My Orca is named "Eureka Maru". |

BTW spaceship enthusiast http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/ I strongly recomend taking a look at this site...... be warned It'll probably **** on your favorite Sci-Fi as it did mine....... Battlestar Just isn't the same anymore.
http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/images/artgallery/7-20-07.jpg
This designed to take a small crew anywhere in the solar system, the elevated decks allow the crew to rotate along it long axis to simulate gravity with centrifugal force. spending extended periods of time in 0g will kill the absolute **** out of you.
armed with 4 lasers not limited by lock range cap, a rail gun that makes armor irrelevant, nukes to make you drake blobs irrelevant, and defensive / offensive chaff which makes your fast tackle a suicide squad "Kinetic energy cuts both ways". this thing would make quick work out of pretty much anything in EVE.
http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/images/artgallery/GeneralAtomics65MarsOrion-A.jpg
but actually this, because Orion drives are my absolute favorite thing in the verse.
