A corp member of mine just showed me this lovely skill, 2% per level less required cap for shield boosting. Does anyone know if there is an Armor Compensation skill that does the same for armor reps? Or if there isn't, why isn't there? :(

no... their is repair systems skill which decreases duration time of the armor reppers. You need that skill to use them anyways so no bother hunting -----------------------------

Yeah and you need shield operation for shield boosters.. your point?
Shield boosting gets a 10% less cap need when it's trained to 5, so where's the counter skill for armor tankers?

No.

Because they are balanced already. While being balanced they are not the same.

Compare a tech 2 armor and a tech 2 shield rep of the same size. Notice the difference in power usage per item repped, and the differences in activation time.

The shield cap usage skill was introduced to make shield more like armour in terms of capacitor per second. - What am I listening to? |

I did the math and with max skills, a tech2 small armor rep is better than a tech2 small shield booster. Gistii however....
I haven't done the math on medium reps yet.

Now compare the BS-class XL SB II to the BS-class XLAR II - oh wait, there is no XLAR.

It is slightly counter productive fitting shield boosting on frigates in general, but when pimping shield boosting tend to be significantly better than armour repairing.
When comparing cruiser equipment, remember to use large shield boosters rather than medium shield boosters for comparable fitting requirements - albeit significantly higher capacitor consumption and hit point rejuvenation.
P.S. Armour HP/cap is about 1.84 while shield HP/cap with the "new" skill is 1.67 (using T2 equipment) - What am I listening to? |

Oh wait, you get 7 low slots. My Raven just gets 6. You have the grid to use 2 LAR. _______________________________________________________________________ Trey Azagthoth > Youre my idol Jocool. I wanna be like Jocool jr. or Jocool the sequel! Oveur > ohnoes jocool |

What are you talking about? What is wrong with you people?
The 2x LAR tech 2 is equal to the XL tech 2 booster + amp. Both take 2 slots. Stop being retarded, k?
Let the thread die, the OP was either a troll or unwilling to do math.
