I'm a fighter, I dont want to lose my learning implants i.e. intelligence and such.. so if i make a jump clone, and jump to that.. I can then go and get my ship where the other body is.. and go out flying and if i get pod killed no problem i didnt lose the implants right? And then I can just transfer back the the first body and boom.. all my implants are waiting there happily for me? is that correct?

that's right, or jump to a clone with pvp set implants or a clone with mining implants with the main for best learning implants(-aka- +4 or +5) you can have up to 5 jump clones and a main body

Remember that to set up jump clone your corporation needs to have +8 standing from the NPC corporation that owns the station. If you belong to NPC corp yourself you need to have +8 personal standing. Otherwise you'll need to go to 0.0 player owned station to get a jump clone (need standing from the player corp). If your corporation owns a mothership(/titan) you could maybe use it to get a jump clone... but most corps don't.

Sounds great doesn't it? The problem is, you can only jump clone once every 24 hours. This is great if you want to train all week with your implants while you don't log on and then just pvp at the weekend and jump back into your implant clone for another 5 days of offline training.
If you are like me and play every single day (and pvp every day, thereby risking your pod every day), jumpclones are more or less useless to you from an implant saving point of view.
Not a whine, just an observation that you may have overlooked.

Also, you have to be careful about keeping too many bodies in the same station. I remember reading that if you have 2 bodies (medical clone and jump clone) in the same station, and you bring your 3rd body (2nd jumpclone) to that station, and jump to a station somewhere else, your first jumpclone gets recycled, regardless of whether or not it has implants.
Look into this before you risk your +4's...

It's whenever you try to have more than 1 jump clone in a single station. The medical clone is entirely different to the jump clone system.
According to the patch notes for 5245 this has been fixed, but it's a bit lacking in details as what exactly has been fixed.

It warns you if you are jumping out of a staion with a JC there already - and therefore will not destroy it. - unless you click yes -- BIG Lottery, BIG Deal | RaTTuS @ Skills Showroom

Didn't they fix this last patch ? In the patch notes it says : It is now possible to jump out of a station in which you have a jumpclone installed.
I thought this meant a installed jumpclone is not destroyed when jumping from a station with a JC in it. Didn't try it myself though, so i'm not sure.
