I feel like the Svipul, although charming in it's own right, looks wise is disappointing. It looks far too "industrial" for a combat ship.
I would have preferred something like this: link

Also, think of the two "wingy bits" to be on rotating arms that can bend at an elbow. The ship could then have been "long" for propulsion mode. "Wide" for defensive mode and vertical for sharp shooter mode.
It would have been glorious. Instead we have the Space Balls Mega Maid |

Yeah.. Svipul isn't too bad, but now that we've seen all the T3D models, I think it's safe to say it got the short end of the stick. I don't mind the Minmatar look, but it's just not very good (especially because its vertical mode is a weird ninety degree angle). |
