Good morning.
Well is had to happen, Celes Apoc is in another alliance, an alliance started by us, for us, but this one is different from most.
Insurgency is a very fitting name, the alliance will be to fight for the people of EVE. We will do our best to stand up for the little man and show them you can overcome superior odds through combat ability and organization. We will remain small through a strict invitation policy.
We will continue to follow our laws of not shooting neutrals and make sure any area we take from the enemy is opened up to all of EVE to prosper in.
We will remain a combat focused nomad alliance, never officially claiming space, but going to where we are needed most. Going to where the fight is. Our home will be wherever we are. We will continue to uphold Celes Apocs values in the Alliance.
Heres to new challenges raise your glass and wet the babies head. A new alliance is born and his future looks bright.

Cheers folks, the truth is this wont change us much, celes apoc will still be celes apoc. the alliance was forced on us through game changes, things we want to do are only open to alliances.. it should have been done a while back but we never got round to it.
BUT who knows, if the correct ppl are looking to hook up we may take in others. but it would only be corps that dont make me pull my hair out in frustration. i think blacklight gets it, we dont work well with others, maybe this will change.
The tourny, well thats something we arnt very interested in and prob wont enter due to to a few things. the main ones being not able to attend at times needed and the other implants.
I really like the idea of this alliance being the good guys, opening up regions for the rest of EVE. i hate the idea that ppl NEED to be in a alliance to have access to the richies of EVE.. it reminds me of the earlier days. have u seen the look on a 6 month char when gets a cormack spawn, it would make ur heart melt.

So what are the in game things that make you want to have an alliance? If it's not the tournament . . . is it claiming sovereignty? I think if you erect some POS's BoB will blob the pudding out of you and send over 20 or 30 cap ships to blow em up. Maybe you could have some fun watching Xelas and The Horde go nuts if you started messing with their Outpost . . . but it'll end in tears.

Maybe you could have some fun watching Xelas and The Horde go nuts if you started messing with their Outpost . . . but it'll end in tears.

Because we do not shoot neutrals we have to set standings towards alot of people and having an alliance makes it easier. That's one of the reasons the alliance was formed.

So what are the in game things that make you want to have an alliance? If it's not the tournament . . . is it claiming sovereignty? The standings one I can go for, even the ability to easily add other corps to your force that can recognise those standings without the hours of paperwork that go with them I can go for aswell - I must be getting old, though, because I can't see any other reason if some aren't those that Marko listed.

knowing Celest it has to be the standings thingy.
already a year and a half ago they ran out of standings(max 300 4tL CCP)
now they can set one standing to all the corps in one alliance nomatter how many corps there are in the alliance.
it should help alot.

We're still considering the Game Masters corporation application to join the alliance ;)
Seriously though, in the future we may consider other corps joining, but for the time being this is purely a mechanical move - some things just require an alliance.

We don't need more than one reason. We should have done this ages ago, but were waiting for CCP to pull their fingers out of their asses and enable corps to set standings for entire alliances.
You probably can't understand how annoying it is to have several Xelas and Horde corps at neutral because we couldn't set them -10 anymore, and don't do the whole NBSI thingy. Every single time you have to check the corp/alliance ticker before locking, losing precious time.
The only other option would have been to declare war of both alliances, but that would have been even more expensive.
You're just bitter because "Insurgency" sounds so much cooler than "Band of Brothers"

I said "one of the reasons" because I am not a leader and might not always know what the directors got planned. I knew that we did it for standings but beyond that I have no idea.

Dont do it darth... Its possibly the most unpleasant thing to spend your time doing. It will be fun for a short while, but eventually your members will get annoyed.
PVP'rs walk when they see DED messages every five minutes.
Just a bit of advice from an expert.
