-.- if there is a B/O then its a buy out. I don't know any auctions where a buy out is stated and people can bid above the buy out because someone else got there faster.

Hi, GM Yuggoth here.
If a buyer sets a buyout offer then they are not obliged to take it. A character is only considered as sold when the seller accepts the offer, not when the buyer submits an offer. I hope that this clears up the situation, please let us know if you have any further questions.
