Over the last few months the value of implants have fallen considerably.
This I expect is down to the abundance of LP offers and to a lesser extent because pilots don't lose them as much as they used to since they can jumpclone to save implants before they do something a little more risky.
So my questions are .. What do ppl use their LP's up on now to make extra income from mission running and what do you now think the isk value of LP's are now worth?

Most people I talk to save their LP for faction BS bpc's (lvl4) or skillbooks (lvl2-3)
Dont really know about the value, but if 15kLP can get you a 70mil skillbook, its not that bad... and 500kLP gives you a Navy Whatever bpc ( a bil or so - the 200m it costs ).
You do the calculating :P

LPs are worth as much (or as little) as you want them to be worth. What I mean by this is that you should set your own value for them and then weigh up each offer against your benchmark to see if they represent good value.
Personally, I use an exchange rate of 1 LP = 1,000 isk, though I know many people favour 2,000 isk or higher. At this rate, +3 impalants at 15K LP are generally good business, but +4 implants at 100K LP are not.
Cheers, Arrs.

The absolutely best value is the 15k LP connections books, but theres quite a few available offers in that area, so you may or may not get one. Failing that, +3 implants are semi-decent, but as previous poster mentioned, +4 ones are NOT.
Most non-BS faction ship offers arent that hot either, so either save up for a battleship offer, OR spend your points at 15k for books, or at whatever the +3 implant offers was at.

ok i run level 4's alot and get some pretty decent lp's for them, but i have to ask, i have heard that the bpc offer you get depends on the state rating you have rather than your lps. i also hear thats its not uncommon to recieve a 2 run bpc of a navy raven for 120k lps? anyone else hear this

base value for LP for me is 1000 isk/lp as well, a decent value is a +3 implant (not charisma) selling 15 lp for 20 to 25 mil.
skillbooks are the best-you-can-get for sure, ut I only got offered 2 and those were thankfully the ones I needed
afaik Navy BS offers start at 500k lp - I haven't seen any up to 200k lp at least.

i'd put the value of the lp to 1500 isk, this is for implants. A higher value can be reached if you consider faction bs bpcs -----------------------------

They are worth whatever you can get for them, cash out at the point you are happiest, +3s are still good coin, BS offers take a lot of patience!

At the upper end of the LP levels, you can get a one run CNR for 500K LP's and 200 million ISK. It takes about 125 Million ISK in materials to produce that ship.
Now if you can sell it for 1.3-1.4 Million ISK, (remember you pay 10% tax on that), that makes LP's worth about 2000 ISK apiece. That's the best case return for you. (LP values are somewhere between 1000 ISK and 2000 ISK, depending on what you're selling.)
But you will need more than the minimum LP's to get the CNR offer. Example, I got my CNR offer at 935K LP's. Someone got a 2-run CNR offer for 1 Million LP's, and 400 Million ISK's, but he was at 1.4 Million LP's when he got it.
I've received three CNR offers for the Estamel tag, but you can't find that tag and the last I saw on the BUY Forum, someone was offering to pay 600 Million ISK for one. So by the time you build it, your LP value is very low.
Hope this helps.

absolutly true.
i just cashed in 81klp for an offer that should bring in around 800mil. I was saving for a change but temptation got to me.
15klp for implant or skillbook is a decent enough chain and is relativly easy to gain back.

I just got an offer for 8x Slave Beta, for 240K lp, and 800 units of a drug.
Currently the lowest sell price in jita is 125mil, so that makes 1 lp worth 4166isk in my case. Now I just need to get the drugs. |
