I have been trying to avoid this for a few weeks, hoping the news will change, but it has not. I thought it only fair to let people know that several weeks ago, Eric was reported dead in a planetside explosion. There were no survivors. A memorial will be planned in due course.
Thank you to those who have offered be comfort and kind thoughts during this difficult time. |

My heart goes to you and your family, as do my prayers. Loss is always the greatest pain to endure, and one not easily suffered. Though I did not know your husband well, the fact that he had such a devoted wife such as yourself speaks volumes as to the man's character. My condolences, my dear.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing your husband and I've only spoken with you in brief a couple of times. Yet, if he was halfway as decent a being as you have proven to be then the cluster has indeed suffered a great loss and you a deeply personal wound.
