I'm creating a character, and wondering if I could get advice on its attributes...
I've worked out essential skills, but I don't know much about how pri/sec attributes effect training times...
I have 20 needed skills with INT as pri. 9 with INT as sec.
16 with MEM as pri. 17 with MEM as sec (inc. learning skills)
Which attribute should I put my points into for maximum overall gain?
Geeky question I know

If it is a main character then personally i think you should try and balance the attributes as much as possible as they will all have value at some time as you progress - it is fairly easy to raise attributes via skills learnt or by implants in the game.
If it is an alt character with only one field of speciality then try and load int and mem as much as possible.
Eve-i.com has a tool you can use to replicate the character creation in eve - this will allow you to test out which combo's are best for you.

Time trained depends on (Primary + Secondary/2), with the division being done first, as per arithmetic rules.
In your case, make int primay, and mem secondary. But you will really suffer at learning to fly ships, for example.

Yep, but I intend to kind of specialize (well, concentrate) on Science, Industry, and Drones. I'll be neglecting Gunnery, and ignoring a few Skills (Leadership, Social, Trade, etc). I'll be using a Gallente Intaki, since EW will help me escape nastiness and use my high Int or Mem.
Obviously Drones/Industry have Mem as Primary, but Int seems to help with a hell of a lot of support Skills...

since higher learning skills greatly affect the training time on all other skills i'd say you need higher memory to boost learning skills in the beginning ------------------------------------------ reality is too small for human imagination |
